Chapter 11

3rd Pov

The two specialists and hotel staff left the room as the soulmate specialists got ready to document everything. They didn't have much time.

3 days at most.

It was their job to ensure people found their soulmates before time was up. They took it very seriously. This time, however, it was bound to be harder. Realising it wasn't a smart idea to reveal to the public like they usually do, due to Mia's reputation and popularity, they had to find a different way. It was race against the clock. Not to mention, they could both feel the weird tension in the room when they asked any soulmate related stuff. Leaving the hotel they quickly got to work. Hopefully they can get this done in time.

As for the other two in the room, they were stilled in silence. Neither knew what to do. To think they came all the way here just to have some fun and meet BTS, to only get roped into a wicked survival game. It was like someone was toying with them.

The two girl released a sigh at the same time and then quickly called out jinx. It seemed to dispel the thick atmosphere, though it was only for a few minutes. Mia was still in Amy's lap as Amy rubbed her arm in comfort falling back into silence.

"Will I die?" Mia mumbled absentmindedly as she closed her eyes. It was an innocent question that had validity in these circumstances but Amy hated the entire thought of it. She wasn't going to lose her best friend. No sister.

Combing Mia's strawberry blond hair strands, Amy rubbed her face in Mia's lock as she held down the tight feeling in her throat. She had to be strong. For Mia. Taking in a breath and pushing back the tears that were threatening to fall, Amy finally answered to the question she knew Mia never meant to say out.

"You'll be fine. We'll find whoever he or she is and then you won't have to go through that pain anymore. We'll work out the soulmate stuff later. For now we need to find the other half."

Mia's eyes flung open as she heard an answer to a question she was never meant to say out loud. She reran the reply in her head and couldn't help but smile. She knew she could rely on Amy more than anyone. Knowing full well how much of a crying baby Amy is and how hard Amy was probably traumatised seeing Mia in a lifeless position, Mia decided to lighten the mood slightly.

"So how was meeting Shin's parent? And telling them your pregnant though you aren't yet married?" I teased.

The two were supposed to get married in 7 months time but decided against it as Amy would be in her 8th nearly 9th month and could give birth at anytime. Last thing they wanted was for Amy to go into labour during the reception. Having said that, they did decide on just having the wedding a few months after the baby was born so Amy can wear her dream dress without a large baby bump prodding through the mermaid dress.

"It was one heck of a first impression. 'It's nice to meet you in person. I'm Amy, your son's fiance who is currently pregnant and is supposed to walk down the aisle near her due date.' Not exactly the best thing to say. Not to mention Shin doing nothing but laughing. He's the one who put the child there so why the heck was I the only one explaining everything whilst he was laughing his head off." Amy fumed completely forgetting about the previous conversation.

The girls talked majority of the night laughing and joking around, totally forgetting about that Mia was knocking at death's door. The two soon retired to bed after Amy talked with her prince charming.

.

.

It was currently 11:51 AM the next day and Amy was snoring asleep like the other millions of people who were living on the dark side. As for Mia, she couldn't close her eyes. She had gone through the pain rush once again this morning as Amy just watched. Just like the Specialist had warned, the closer to the end date the less water has an effect on halting the pain of the scars.

Heaving and sweating, Mia had gone to take a shower straight after the pain had subsided and then when straight to bed despite only having woke up hours prior. She was too exhausted after the attack. So it made sense that she couldn't sleep now. Sneaking out of Amy's bed, as the girl had had a movie night minutes before Amy's snores filled the room, Mia left towards her room to get a hoodie.

She couldn't help but feel slightly guilty as she watched Amy watched her in agony. That thought alone was swimming her head. She hated seeing Amy in so much fear and so helpless. Which reminds her yet again time was catching up to her. She had one day. One day before she dies.

She couldn't help but laugh at the thoughts as she let her feet take her out of her room and through the doors of the hotel on to the calm streets. Back then she always wanted to die but now she wanted to live. It was actually laughable how cruel the world is.

Too deep in thought Mia had dragged her feet quite far from the hotel she stayed at. She wore no mask as it was too dark for anyone to hopefully notice her. Staring up at the ebony night sky that was sprinkled with specs of glitter, Mia couldn't help but feel so insignificant. In this humongous world who would care even if she dies?

After all not even her own flesh and blood would care. To them, she nothing more than a murderer.

Mia continued to walk aimlessly as she ventured with her thoughts. She knew they weren't the right thoughts to have. She promised she would fight. Fight for her life. Because now her life wasn't just hers. It belonged to everyone who look up to her for advise. With that thought Mia ushered the thoughts away and smiled. Why not make the most of it and get some good food whilst she's at it, she thought. If this was going to be her last 24 hours then she might as well have something good to eat.

But what Mia hadn't noticed was the small tingle of fire that was running up her spine. Her bond was awake and it wanted to meet its match.
