Chapter 43

"You okay?" Jin asked Mia as she slid down her compartment for the first time since the beginning of the flight. He could already tell by the scowl on her face that she was far from okay, but still asked not knowing what else to say.

Mia was like an open book for Jin when it came to her mood swings, so it didn't take much thinking or reading into for him to realise Mia was cursing the day in her mind despite the forced tired smile on her face. He watched as she slowly nodded as an answer before groaning in pain, her eyes glistening over with a light glaze as her smile fell from her face. Jin knew from the way she was grasping on her stomach and shifting in her chair it was another cramp that had ripped through her lower region.

Though she was coming to the end of her period, there was no pain free day as her muscles continued to squeeze together due to her excess hormones. The pain killers Mia had taken before the flight had worn off due to the 1 hour delay at the beginning. Adding that to the uncomfortable posture she was sat in, her inners were having a party whilst she received all the punishment.

And if the cramps weren't bad enough, Moonbin was persistent on wanting to start a conversation with Mia after Jin had interrupted their reunion - one Mia never wanted - too oblivious to the fact that she was in too much pain to sit much less talk. She was truly grateful for Jin's interruptions when Moonbin would attempt at trying to talk to her, but much to her horror he sat directly diagonal from her, giving him every opportunity to talk to her freely with no trouble at all. And even with her fancy compartment pushed up, she could still see his moving shadow which looked her way.

And that wasn't the worse of it.

Mia quickly found out during the delay of the flight that somehow he had attained her personal number.

Very few people had her number as she wasn't a social butterfly and Amy did most of the business deals as her manager. And in the rare cases she did hand out her phone number, it was to people whom she trusted and/or wanted a further platonic relationship with. So though she was slightly taken aback when Jin and the rest of the other members had gotten her number from Minji, she didn't hold it against her and just asked if she wouldn't tell anyone else, to which she promised she wouldn't.

Minji was the only one who had worked with Moonbin before and Amy knew about her reasons for avoiding him, so Mia couldn't help but wonder where he was able to get such a personal piece of information on his own. And if it wasn't for the fact he was Mr Choi's son, he greatest benefactor, Mia would have already blocked him as his constant texts and messages dove her crazy. The only reason she remained partly sane was due to Jin coming to her rescue again by taking her phone to do some 'research' despite his fully charged devices- laptop, IPad and phone-she was sure she would have burst and made a scene that would get her on the news for sure.

"You don't look fine." Jin whispered in concern as he noticed the bad condition Mia was in. The whole flight he had kept an eye on her, even when she pulled her blinds up, as he could feel a heavy cloud hovering over his chest. He wasn't sure if it was from the overwhelming amount of dread that he felt intertwined with the scorching of the words on his body when Mia looked up at Moonbin for the first time, or just a sickening feeling from the amount of coke he had drank on this flight alone. But whatever it was, Jin couldn't help but worry about Mia, especially after the last few days they had spent together.

The two had came to an agreement of living together with Amy, until she goes on her break, under the condition that Mia paid the company a certain amount of money for the apartment like she had bought the place on rent. However, the amount will be based on the number of days she lives in the apartment physically so it's not like she has to pay during a world tour or on holiday. This was to satisfy Mia's wish on wanting to be independent and not feel like she was getting things handed to her for free, whilst ensuring Jin not only handle some of the burden of bonding, but also gained a chance to get to know Mia on a personal level without other people constantly in their business. This was another reason for the improvement in the duo's relationship.
