"So what did you get Spencer?" Aria asked me.

"We agreed no birthday presents this year."

"What,why?" Hanna asked stopping in the middle of the sidewalk.

"She agreed didn't want anything. So we're doing gestures instead. Her idea not mine."

"Like clowns?" Hanna asked.

"Court gestures. They're clowns right?"

I chose to ignore that one.

"Hanna, you never did finish that story of what happened between you and Britt."

"Let's just say. You screw me, I screw you back, I'm a lady like dat." She said with an evil grin plastered across her face.

Then phone started to ring with 'Spencer' as the caller ID.

"Helloooo." I said and a smile made it's way on to my face.

"Hi Tobes."

"Does thou need something?"

"Just to hear your voice."

"Well you're cute."

"Only cute?" She giggled.

"I'm out in public soooo."

"Well what are you doing 'out in public' I quote."

"I'm with Aria and Hanna."

"Why?"

"It's a secret."

"Oh what ever, it's my birthday. I have a few guesses."

"But anyway what are you up to? On this fine day?"

"It's a secret." She taunted and I laughed.

"I can't believe you only think I'm cute."

I could practically see her pouting on the other end.

"Toby are you talking to Spencer?" Hanna whispered.

"Yeah, why?" I whispered.

"Put it on speaker."

"No!"

"Please!" She and Aria grabbed hands and jumped up and down.

We went in side the nearest alley put the phone on speaker phone on the lowest volume.

"Well what else would I describe you as?" I smirked and Hanna looked at me with wide eyes.

"I'm not saying this over the phone."

"Why not?" I smirked.

"Because I happen to be on speaker phone." Spencer says as she came walking around the corner.

"Okay bye." Aria said pulling Hanna out the alley with her.

"What the hell?" She said throwing his arms up in the air.

"Hanna's idea."

"But you went along with her and Aria getting into our personal life Toby."

"Your right....wait how did you get here so fast."

"I was getting groceries to put.... Oh I don't know in the refrigerator and I heard two girls and a guy that just so happened to sound like my boyfriend. Then an echo of my voice coming from the alley around the corner."

"Oh."

"Yeah oh." Then she walked out of the alley and left the groceries for me to take to her apartment.

"Great start to her birthday." I told myself before running out and calling her name but she was already gone.

I went home and wrapped all my last minute present for her then sat on the bed and pulled out my laptop so I could get a head start on my Biology report. Then I got a phone call.

"Hello?" I said in a questionable voice.

"Hello handsome."

"Spencer where are you?"

"Oh no. The real question is where are you?"

"Your missing your birthday....here. Spence." I nagged her.

"Yeah, yeah."

"Oh really and if I was there?"

"Toby Cavanaugh! Are you trying to have phone sex with me? Well this time." She laughed.

"What no! I was just...ugh! SPENCER! Would you just stop with that!"

She kept laughing on and on.

"Spence stop I was not!" I yelled into the speaker.

"Yeah, okay you've always won on that one."

"Get your cute ass over here now!" I yelled into the speaker.

Then the call ended.
