"Mom!" I ran down the stairs with Toby on my heels.

"In here." She sat on the sofa reading a magazine.

"Um..I need to tell you something." I clutched the UPENN envelope to my chest.

"Sure honey. But first Toby, could you finish what you were going to tell me at the coffee shop. Before Zeyna so rudely interrupted."

"Finally something we can agree on." I mumbled.

"Um..sure." He sat down on the love seat next to me across from my mom.

"So, I know you want Spencer here. For your own reasons. But she's told me so many things, that makes me want to bring her home with me."

She looked puzzled.

"To Rosewood."

"Oh, well Toby it's just not safe."

"Mom, I'm just not happy here. The people at school are bullies. The teachers suck. Everyone here is mean to me. I hate it."

Her eyes softened and she looked at me with sympathy.

"Please. I want to go home. He'll keep me safe." I interlocked hands with Toby.

"I don't know."

"Yes, you do. Your just scared that you'll be on your own. Mom, Melissa will be back next week. Then I graduate in 6 months. How bad could it be?"

She looked back from me to Toby.

"I'll think about it. Now you two go get some sleep. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

"Why? What's tomorrow?" I asked.

"It's a surprise." She half grinned.

"Ugh." And I marched up the stairs with Toby behind me.

"At least she didn't say no." He said.

"Ya, but it still wasn't a yes."

"That is true."

"Ugh.. I want to come home with you."

"I know."

"When do you leave?"

"Two days."

"She better hurry her ass up with that yes."

He laughed.

"Sure Spence." He placed his hands on my waist.

"What do you think she has planned for tomorrow?"

"I wouldn't know."

"This is all so aggravating!" I jerked my head back.

"Hey, you need to relax."

"I know but I can't!"

"Everything will be fine." He wrapped his arms around me.

"I promise." He whispered in my ear the same time I felt small kisses being trailed down my neck.

"Tobyyy my mom is in the other room."

"She'll never know." He picked up the remote to my stereo and pressed play.
He turned the volume up high, not blasting it but high enough you couldn't hear us.

"Pervert."

"Nerd."

"Jock."

"Smart Ass."

"Jerk."

"Gorgeous."

"Hot."

"Sexy."

"Okay I'm out of words." I laughed.

"I didn't even get to show her the letter."

"You can later."

Then I heard the front door open.

"I'm home!" Melissa shouted, dragging her luggage inside.

"No freakin way. Stay here." I walked to the top of the stairs.

"Melissa honey your home early." My mom hugged her.

"Ya, I guess." She looked down at her Chloes'.

"Sweetie what's wrong?"

"I think me and Wren are over." She sniffled.

"Oh no that's so untrue."

"No it's not. I caught him with another woman."

My jaw dropped. I knew he wasn't right! What an ass hole. Poor Melissa. I walked back in my room and shut my door behind me.

"Well?" Toby asked. He sat cris-cross on my bed.

"Wren cheated on Melissa."

"Oh my god."

"He's such an ass wipe!" I yelled and Toby fell back in laughter.

"Toby why are you laughing this isn't a laughing matter!"

"No, no, don't get me wrong. I'm not laughing at Melissa I'm laughing at the fact you said ass wipe." He chuckled.

"I hate you."

"Awww, come on be humorous for once." He took both of my hands and say me in the bed next to him.

"Fine. I guess it's a little funny. But not as much as you think it is."

"See."

"Whatever, Cavanaugh." I pushed him back and sat on his chest.

"It's still sad."

He ran his hands up my legs "I know, do you want me to kick his ass?"

"I'll think about it."

He laughed and I laid my head on his chest.

"Hmm.. you'd never cheat on me right?"

"Of course not. Spence why would you even ask that?"

"I don't know. I guess it just popped into my mind and I had to ask."

"Alright. Well, just know I love you and only you. I'd never cheat on you."

"Hmmm... I love you too." I said.

"Oh, for some reason this popped into my head the other day." He said his eyes getting red and puffy.

"What is it?" I moved some hair out of his face.

"Do you remember you telling me if we ever got married we could never have kids?"

"Ya?" I looked down.

"Promise me that we'll at least try."

"Toby I..."

"Promise me..." A single tear rolled down his cheek.

"Okay, I promise." I kissed the tear away.

We both laid down on the bed and drifted off to sleep.
