Chapter 37

I hopped into the passenger seat and Toby closed the door behind me. I rolled down the tinted window so I could get one last good look of his face.
"See you soon." He said.
"Okay." I bit my lip.
He leaned in and placed one soft kiss on my forehead.
Then I jumped up to meet his lips.
"I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too."
I pulled the seat beat across me and buckled it in.
I smiled at him as I rolled the window up.
"Okay let's go." My mom said putting the car in drive.
I turned my head and watched Toby's figure fade in the distance.
"Melissa and Wren will meet us there."
"What? Their not staying?"
"Nope."
I pulled my phone out and immediately texted everyone.
"Don't worry about M and W their moving with us. Ugh!" -S
"I feel so bad." -Han
"I'm sooooo sorry Spence." oxox -Ar

"Drive safe."🚙 -Ez
"Tell your mom to turn the damn car around!" -Caleb

"I'm in Philadelphia. Sucks I couldn't be there." -Ez
I leaned my head against the car seat and let a small tear fall.
"Mom, where are we moving?" She rolled her eyes at me.
"Spencer I told you, that you have to wait and see."
"Ugh." I said back, and leaned my head against the cool window trying to wish this away.

Toby's POV:

Spencer had left. The one good thing I had going for me and she was gone. I walked over to an old swing set that was in her back yard and just swung back and fourth. But when I sat down I felt something crumple in my back pocket. I pulled it out and read the front.

ps don't read until I've fully left.
"Well you left so I guess it's okay to read now."
I ripped the envelope open and pulled out the letter.
"Toby, God you have know idea how much I love you."
"I love you too."
"But I decided to write this for some apparent reason. I don't want to ever be apart from you. Like ever. Or the girls or any of our other friends. But still. I was trying to be strong when I left so you wouldn't notice how weak I was inside. Leaving you was like getting a whole punched through my chest, that can never be fixed unless your there."
Tears started rolling down my cheeks. How could I not notice she was in so much pain.
"Anyway this is my official goodbye to you. You will always be in my heart, and I'll never let go until the day I die just like you said. But I want you to move on away from me."
"Never."
"Find someone good for you. That lives here. That isn't miles away. I love you more than life and it's because I love you I'm setting you free."
