"Mommy! Mommy!" The little girl yelled.

"In here sweetie." I said sitting in the kitchen at the bar.

Toby was chasing behind her and picked her up and started tickling the toddler.

"Tobes really?"

"Mommy make him stop it tickles." She squealed while fighting back.

"Okay Toby put her down."

"All right fine."

"Mommy have you seen my doll?"

"Um no sweetie, I don't know where you put her." I crouched down to her level.

She stomped her feet and crossed her arms and climbed up the sofa and pouted.

"Yep, she's stubborn just like you."
Toby turned to me.

"Oh really."

He nodded.

"Daddy's, going to help you find dolly." I watched her face light up and I grinned at Toby.

"You didn't just do that?"

"Oh, but I did." I smirked.

"Now go on." I smiled as the little girl skipped out the door with Toby behind her.

"La la la la la..." She sang cheerfully.

I turned my head back to my magazine and there sat a doll with bright yellow hair laying in the corner of the room.

"Well what do ya know." I walked outside to see Toby searching everywhere and the little girl getting her Mary Jane's all muddy.

"Look what Mommy found!" I yelled.

"DOLLY!" She screamed and I smiled.

She ran over to me and jumped into my arms and I handed her the doll. She sat on my hip and Toby smiled as he brushed the dirt off his jeans.

"Ewww your dirty."

"Ya, but so is she."

"But she's an exception." I touched her nose and the little girl looked at Toby and smirked.

Toby walked over and wrapped his arms around the two of us. Getting dirt all over me and more all over her.

"I love you guys." I smiled.

"We love you too." Toby and the little girl said at the same time.

Then I woke up sweating and tears running down my face.

"Spence?" Toby placed his hand on my shoulder.

I clutched my pillow not facing him soaking it with my tears.

"Did you have a nightmare?"

I shook my head. "I had a dream. I really good dream. One that was almost to good to be true."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"There was a little girl with light brown hair and bright blue eyes. She was running around a house with her two parents."

"Who were her parents?"

"Us." I cried.

"Spence." He pulled me to his chest.

"I'm going to go get some water." I stood up from the bed.

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"No, I'll be back in a minute."

I put on a fuzzy robe and walked down stairs.

"Wren if you loved me you wouldn't have cheated on me." Melissa said standing in the living room face to face in front of Wren.

"But Mel, I do love you. She was a mistake."

"You have know right to call me that."

"Mel- I mean Melissa please."

"Wren we have a baby on the way for God's sake, and she for one will not grow up with a father like you."

"She..." I said shocked then I immediately clasped my hand over my mouth.

"Spencer?" Melissa looked up at me.

"I'm sorry, I just came down to get some water. I had a nightmare." I walked down the stairs.

"Oh, well Melissa I'll be in the barn. Goodnight Spencer." Wren marched out slamming the glass door behind him. I'm surprised it didn't shader.

"Did you hear our conversation?"

"Not entirely." I answered her opening the fridge.

"I'm still in shock."

"You have the right to be. Also Mel?"

"Ya?" She looked up at me.

"She?"

She nodded "It's a girl."

"I'm so happy for you!" I sat down my bottle of water and hugged her tight.

"Thank you but I still have a monster to deal with."

"Right." I nodded.

"But, that's something I can do in the morning. Did you hear back from UPENN?" She half smiled.

"Ya, I did."

"Did you get in?"

"No, I didn't."

"Well what are you going to do. Mom expects you to go."

"I'm going to Stanford. Full scholarship."

"Wow.. That's amazing."

"Ya, and Toby's school isn't far. So it works out either way."

"I'm so happy for you Spence."

"Thank you."

"Well I think we should both get to bed." She yawned.

"Alright I'll see you tomorrow." We each headed off into our separate bedrooms.

I crawled into bed next to sleeping Toby and curled up into his chest. I drifted off to sleep and awaited on what surprise my mother had for tomorrow.

The next day:

"Morning." Toby yawned as my eyes fluttered open.

"Hmm...morning to you too."

"Hey. Where'd you go last night? You were gone more than a minute." He said pulling on his jeans.

"Oh. My sister and I had a very nice sisterly talk."

He looked at me confused.

"I'll tell you later."

We both got ready and walked down stairs for breakfast.

"You didn't tell me Toby was here." Melissa handed me a plate.

"Surprise!"

"Okay. Spencer, Toby are you ready for the surprise!" My mom ran in.

"Yes, I've been waiting all night. If it sucks I'll will die."

My mom shot me a look.

"I'm sure she's just joking." Melissa said.

"I thought about you and Toby's idea carefully last night. Well, since you will be attending UPENN. I thought why not?"

My jaw hit the floor.

But I'm not. Shit!
