Chapter Five:It'd be a huge shame if something did happen to it.

After at least two more classes it was finally lunchtime and to say I was relieved was at the very least mainly because I kept having guys look at me like I was some piece of meat on sale in the market and even after I glared at them they still stole glances at me and it was irritating but the peak was when two freaks actually 'accidentally' bumped into me... I was like what the hell. Right now I would drown myself in my food because that was literally my best relieve.

I took my tray and was just about to join the line keeping my head down so that I wouldn't have to look at anyone's face but then eyes were given for a reason because all of a sudden I felt someone bump into me this was the last straw but just as I wanted to discover just how blind the idiot was I immediately felt the cold feel of liquid drool down my chest I looked down to see my perfectly white turtle neck top ruined with a purplish substance that exposed my also white bra and half of my cleavage... all open for the entire cafeteria to see like that wasn't enough I saw some people actually laugh while some guys just stared.

I looked up immediately to see the son of a bitch responsible for this and he seemed pretty amused. I narrowed my eyes at his features closely and he might as well have been the prince of any girl's imagination or the dark angel of my most secret dreams. He had dark hair with scarlet tips that fell playfully to cover just a side of his face. A face of strong sharp bones, of a firm, unsmiling mouth of haunting male beauty. He was tall at least 6'3. His eyes as grey as the sky on a rainy day unblinking an intense under arched brows but the amusement sparkled in them nonetheless. He was well built and as much as I hated to admit it very much attractive.

"Watch it, klutz." He hissed snapping me out of my daze and back to the important matter at hand.

"Klutz who the hell are you calling a klutz." I more than spat at his face jabbing my finger into his strong chest.

"A Hispanic one at that." He muttered leaning forward and shooting me a confident smirk. The amusement in his eyes just boiling my blood even more. "I don't see anyone else besides you so tell me beautiful... what's your name." He drawled with easy confidence.

My nose wrinkled in disgust. I didn't have time for this I was freezing and half my boobs were out on full display I just wanted to get out of here but I couldn't just leave... just like that, it was unheard of.

I walked up straight to him looked him dead in the eye and smirked. "You know..." I paused for dramatic effect before going on. "You really didn't have to spill your drink on me to get my attention... that's just sad." I completed with a sarcastic smile.

The entire cafeteria stood still no one moved and as cliché, as it sounded you could actually hear a pin drop.

That took him off guard because the amusement quickly died in his eyes and his mouth was set to a grim straight line and his eyes clouded. It pleased me that I affected him like that.

I was just about to walk out content when he finally found his voice and seemingly snapped out of his daze.

"What did you just say." He growled narrowing his eyes at me.

I actually smiled a sarcastic smile before looking back at him. "I said you didn't have to-"

"I heard you goddamn it," He hissed impatiently cutting me short as his patience was starting to wear thin.

"So why did you ask stupid?" I asked back getting impatient.

"Watch your tone," He warned.

"Or what-" I stopped as I raised my hand to cut him off before he started again. "You know what? Just save it yeah, I really don't care about whatever you have to say, I don't know about you but this is actually getting really boring and I'm not really one to like holding a grudge so here's what we'll do." I leaned closer to him, overlooking the venom growing in his eyes. "I'm going to let this little 'accident'," I stated gesturing at my now ruined top. "Slide, because well it's simply an accident."

"You really have no idea who you're messing with." He spat with a humorless chuckle.

I stepped forward again to match his gaze straight on so we were only inches apart. Even though his height might have been intimidating for some people that were worrisomely (not a word) short like myself. I-on the other hand- wasn't intimidated in the least bit. I wasn't one to let a little height to intimidate me on the contrary they were actually weaker because if I'm able to bring you the ground taking you out would be as simple as a piece 9f cake.

"I'm sure I wouldn't want to find out." I shuddered cowering in mock fear before rolling my eyes and straightening up. "But just so things don't end up bloody between us stay the hell away from me because you have such a pretty nose and it'd be a huge shame if something did happen to it."

That definitely did it because he didn't come up with a comeback just glared daggers straight at me as his eyes still mirrored sheer disbelief. I smiled at him a sinister smile which made it even more clear that I wasn't joking. The entire cafeteria was dead silent no one said a word as they watched us very closely I gave him a minute to say something to just dare me that would give me the chance prove to him to them all that I wasn't bluffing but he just started backing away slowly with his eyes still on me. I turned around to drop the tray still irritated by the fact that I couldn't get to eat anything and then leaving the cafeteria before I did or said anything else questionable on my first day of school.

As I got to the secretary's office the same one I'd ignored in the morning... what's her face so you can imagine how awkward it was when I requested for a slip to be excused from school for the rest of the day. She looked at my top which was now ruined all thanks to the bastard and the look on her face was clear and I definitely agreed with her.

It was going to be a long school year.

"How was your first day of school." I heard a cheery voice ask causing me to look up with furrowed brows to see a clearly amused Dallas by my window smiling at me.

I was so deep in my thoughts I didn't even realize when he got there and I certainly didn't appreciate being sneaked upon. "You do that one more time and I'll forget you have a pretty face," I said easily and turned away from him. I guess I didn't realize what I said until he started smiling... like crazy there was just a huge beam on his face.

"So you admit I have a pretty face." He asked with a smirk. Really that was his takeaway from everything I said that's all he gathered... stupid.

"You know it's funny how-" Whatever he was about to say was caught in his throat as the blade of my pocket knife very swiftly whizzed past him and landed about an inch away from his left ear as the blade hit the wall and stayed there he was lucky I still had a good aim. I couldn't possibly start to clean someone else's blood plus it could ruin my knife.

He looked at me then at the blade then back at me then the blade mouth agape his eyes for the third time mirrored the expression I seem to have been getting all day disbelief, shock, and fear. Yes, I answered his unasked question. The very same one you'd ask yourself if that same thing happened to you... so yes you did just see your life flash before your very eyes.

I lay back down put my hand over my head and closed my eyes not exactly in the mood to sleep but so I could think.

"Now leave before I do it with both my eyes closed." I didn't bother to look up to see if he was gone. I knew instantly from the silence that he had run for the hills.
