"Aria..." I heard but ignored. "Aria." I heard again but still ignored. "ARIA!" The person yelled shaking me causing me to snap and then around.

"Don't fucking do that or I could..." I trailed off looking between Cody and the older woman beside him.

"Aria." Cody started cautiously looking between and the woman. "This is my mum." He started slowly like he was warning me against a nuclear bomb. When he looked at me he looked like he was pleading.

I turned to her. She had bright green eyes compared to Cody's brown eyes so I gathered that he got them from his dad. Her brown hair was packed into a loose bun with pieces falling from both sides of her head. She wore a dark blue gown that flowed to her feet. She wore light make up and had Cody's signature beam on her face.

"So." I snorted and both their eyes widened. Cody turned to me asking what my problem was to which I just shrugged before turning back to his mother who had her hand over her mouth.

"Mom please she didn't-"

He was cut off by a peal of laughter and he looked at me cautiously before looking back at her. She wiped an imaginary tear off her eye and coughed to compose herself. "She's exactly everything that you said about her." She said in between laughs.

I turned to him and he looked like he wanted to fling himself into the pool and stay there till the end of time.

"Mom how could you-"

"Step out of my way young man..." She said interrupting him and pushing him aside. "Adults want to talk." He looked at her horrifyingly shot me a pleading look and stepped aside.

"Hi, I'm Mrs. Drury." She said pleasantly holding out her hand. I stared at it before looking back at her like she was high.

I wasn't going to-

"I'm not going to-"

"Take my hand so you don't have to worry when you sleep tonight." She said still beaming and I smiled internally nodding my head in approval.

"I'm Aria but I'm still not taking your hand. I sleep with a knife and my aim is one of a kind want a test drive." Without waiting for her response I brought out the knife and flung it straight at Julianna's chest. It landed there and stayed in place. Julianna looked at it blandly before taking it out and handing it back to me.

"Next time you want to use me as a test monkey try to give me a heads up ok." She deadpanned rolling her eyes.

All their eyes were wide with shock. "How did- how did you- did you all see that mom please tell me you saw that I'm not dreaming it all." Cody stuttered looking at all of us in confusion.

"I did boy..." She started scratching the back of her neck and chuckling. "I sure did."

"How did you freaking do that?" Aiden asked looking at me in horror. "How is she standing and not dead?" He continued. "How are you not panicking that you killed your own best friend.

I rolled my eyes at him. "It's simple actually Julianna wears this little diamond pendant that I got for her everywhere... Like she literally never takes it off so when I aimed, like so." I showed flinging the knife towards her chest to which it stayed perfectly still. "It landed on the pendant and so did not touch or affect her in any way."
