"Hey, guys?"

"Hey?..." A voice snapped in disbelief. "...who the heck are you kidding." Then a pair of arms circled around my shoulders and pulled me in for a spine-crushing hug and before I could even react the hands went back to their owner and there was a huge beam plastered on the owners face.

"Hello, Sierra." The second person greeted with a curt nod after looking at his partner over and shaking his head.

I blinked. All the while nothing that had been said or done registered. I just stood there blinking at them before finally shaking my head and punching the words out of me.

Standing at the door were the two people I least expected to ever see here. "Julianna... Alvaro." I finally gaped like an idiot staring between the both of them. They were here... with me. My two best friends from Spain. How did they even... Whoa.

"What a... surprise." Was all I said not knowing what else to say. Julianna shot me an irritable look and I sighed. "What are you guys doing here?" I stated bluntly not even thinking about it.

"Please contain your excitement a little bit." Julianna snapped sarcastically with her nose wrinkled.

I suddenly snapped out of it and blinked in realization. "No it's just you didn't call me, I didn't know you were coming. I mean how did you even-"

Julianna cleared her throat cutting me off. "Are you going to let us in or how much longer is this cross-examination." She hissed irritably.

I blinked for what seemed like the millionth time realizing that indeed I hadn't let them in. I visibly facepalmed and widened the door signaling for them to come in.

"It's so freaking cold here," Julia muttered pushing her way in and in the process shoving me out of the way. "I mean how are you even do it."

"I know right..." I said getting over the shock. "And it's warm today compared to these past few days," I muttered shuddering at the thoughts of those nights where I had to shut the window, blinds and when that wasn't enough I had to take some of Abuela's comforters because she was old, didn't care, was already used to the cold and... had a million of those things... ignore my first reason.

"But really..." I inquired turning back to face them. "What are you guys doing here."

"We came to see you, you silly dilly." None other than Julianna cooed.

"Don't call me that," I muttered shooting her an irritable look. Then softening a bit, "A call would have done just fine."

"And seeing you look so much better than when you left Spain is so... is that a smile I see?" She gasped in shock. I wasn't smiling but she didn't mind that because she went on. "Who are you and what have you done with my best friend." She exclaimed pulling me to the sofa.

"Girllll..." She dragged doing exactly what always annoyed me. "When you left Spain you couldn't maintain eye contact for more than five seconds..." That wasn't a lie but it was irrelevant to bring up and I didn't see what she was getting at. "...and now your eyes are shining..." which I was pretty sure they were not. She paused with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Tell me all about it."

I frowned. "There's nothing to tell and frankly I don't even know what you're talking about." And I really didn't. I wasn't just going to believe that I had gone soft that was preposterous. I could never go soft I was just the same as I was a few months ago.

"Of course you do." She accused as I glared at her shaking me in order to spill the beans. When the can was completely empty.

"Yeah sure..." Alvaro muttered reminding us that he was still there we'd actually forgotten about him. "I'm not here I'll just go and settle down in one of the rooms." He finished dragging his mini suitcase and the other five boxes which I was very sure belonged to Julianna because they were all pink and purple towards the staircase.
