Jisoo dropped off her over-night stuff in Rosé's bedroom in such a rush that she didn't even bother to shove back the flood of clothes that spilled out of her unzipped duffel bag. Her excitement was bursting throughout her whole existence that she didn't even care how many people she pushed past to get where she wanted or how many times she almost tripped over her own feet. Her boyfriend Jinyoung was waiting by the stairs and she ran into his arms at such a speed that he almost toppled over the table behind him.
She'd been promised that he would take her out on a walk after the alcohol of the soju wore off. He, like many others, was a little tipsy after the drink and had to wait to fully regain his consciousness before he could continue with the party.
It was only a walk but Jisoo had been so occupied helping Rosé sort out the lists and tasks for the party that the two barely even found time to ring each other up. While the girls had chosen to decorate the main hall and get the rooms prepared for the overnight stay with the servants, the boys and the chauffeurs were left to drive in and out of stores in a crazy rush to get all the items on the supply lists they were given.
Truth to be told, the work was so hectic that every single one of them didn't even get a proper look at each other until it was finally time to call an end to the preparations and actually get ready for the event.
But the hard work definitely paid off.
Things were looking better than any of them expected and as far as they could tell, nobody was ready to leave just yet. Everyone was enjoying themselves like there was no tomorrow and the crazy mood was all over the place. Everyone had found themselves a place and a group to hang out with and not a single person seemed down or bored.
"Hey, calm down, soldier!" Jinyoung chuckled, righting himself up. He pressed his lips down on the tangles her hair-do had shaped her silky locks into and left a hard kiss on her head.
"Sorry, just missed you so much!" Jisoo screamed over the music.
"Same, lollipop." He cuddled her closer, squeezing her into him so tight, almost as if she was a teddy bear, and whispered more sweet words of romance into her ears--that he knew she loved despite how randomly those phases came over him--and he replaced her name with a new nickname every time he finished a sentence.
His voice did enough to settle down her racing nerves and her breathes slowed down to a normal pace. He let her drink from his cup of juice--since the table was almost empty of more--and she inhaled the whole of what he left in before refilling it again for one more downing.
"I was right here, turtle," Jinyoung chuckled at her through the alcohol. "What's the rush?"
Jisoo set the cup aside and wiped her mouth with a napkin. "I haven't gotten a good look at you for two whole days and you still dare to ask me that . . ." She shook her finger at him and threw arms around him again again, pretending to sniff.
"Well, at least I got to stare at you when you were soaked in sweat."
"Shut up! Are you a pervert or what?"
"I'm Park Jinyoung," he hiccupped, "your respective boyfriend and future husband."
"Correct . . ." Then, her voice dramatically lowered down to a mousy squeak. "I missed you."
"Same," he said again. "But more."
"I said it first and we're not playing this game again."
"As you wish, princess." Her wrapped his arms around her with more force and let a comfortable silence take up the air around them.
Despite not being able to see each other's faces, the pair had large grins pasted on their mouths like the Cheshire Cat.
The music boomed on.
