There had been a death in the town of Forks, Waylon died. Natalia didn't know the man but her mom had gotten word that it was an animal that attacked him. For some reason that didn't calm Natalia's nerves. An animal? She thought. She had just found out that the guy she had feelings for was a vampire. She just hoped that he or his family wasn't the cause for Waylon's death.
Natalia didn't go to school the following day. She told Stella that her stomach was hurting but they both know that was a lie. Natalia couldn't him, couldn't face his family. She had created relationships on a lie. Rosalie was someone Natalia would consider a best friend. Rosalie told her about her life before the Cullens, about her birth family. She told Natalia what it was like to fall in love with Emmett and Natalia hoped that she could do the same with Jasper.
Natalia spent her day watching films. Buffy the Vampire Slayer came on HBO and Natalia could help but laugh at the irony. It was about 1:30 in the afternoon and the doorbell rang. Natalia wasn't in a hurry to get up out of her seat on the couch and hoped that the person would go away. They didn't. So Natalia got up and walked over to the foyer.
"Hola." Natalia said.
"Hi." The person just walked inside her house and didn't even let Natalia invite her in.
"Sure Bella, come on in." Natalia shut the door and walked to the kitchen table where the Swan girl sat.
"There is something I need to talk to you about." Bella said.
"Okay."
"I think something about the Cullens, and I need to hear your input too."
Natalia froze. Bella has gone hunting for answers just like Natalia had done. She would remain true to her promise and not give Bella any hints about what the Cullen's secrets are.
"Bella, curiosity killed the cat you know? Be careful they could be a part of the mafia or something" Natalia warns.
"I don't care." Natalia scoffs. "They are different. You have to admit Natalia. They are pale, they don't eat, and their eyes."
"Bella it's rude to assume they are something different because of their skin color" Natalia tries to reason, to get her off of their path.
"I went to the woods today." Natalia just nods and takes a sip of water. "With Edward."
Natalia chokes on Bella's words. "You probably shouldn't spend time alone with him, especially in the woods."
Bella makes a confused glace to Natalia. "What are you talking about?"
Natalia realizes she almost split the beans. "Like I said, they could be a part of the mafia. I've had run-ins with those types of people and they are not nice."
