"I'm sorry I'm calling again. I just really miss all of you. I really thought you would answer Alice. I don't understand how all of this happened."
Natalia vowed that she would never show up to school high. So far she was successful. Her daily routine was to wake up, go to school, come home and get high in her bedroom. Natalia ignored the fact that if she would go without it for a day she got terrible mood swings, acted out, and wouldn't eat. She ignored all of the signs pointing to an addiction.
While hanging out with the pack one day Bella had the idea of a movie night. Natalia insisted on hosting it at her house. Everyone in the pack, including Emily, and Billy, joined the Ramos girls for a movie night. They, as a whole group, decided to play the movie The Outsiders.
That movie was personally one of Natalia's favorite's. She was glad that she gotta watch it with people who had helped her in her and Bella's time of need. While Bella was growing closer with Jacob, Natalia was growing closer with Paul. He made her laugh.Halfway through the movie she could feel Paul put his arm around her. She also felt a few eyes on her. One in particular is Embry, he was smirk and Natalia just simply flipped him off. While Jacob was clearly in love with Bella or something like that, Natalia and Paul decided that they don't feel that way for each other. Natalia wasn't sure if she could take another romance at the moment.
After the movie ended everyone started to leave one by one. After about thirty minutes only Natalia, Bella, and Jacob were left. Both her mom and sister had retired to their rooms for the night. The trio were making jokes and watching whatever was on television. Jacob kept moving on the couch. Natalia and Bella noticed him doing this throughout the movie too. Like he had an itch to scratch or something.
"Dude, are you okay?" Natalia asked after getting annoyed from his sudden movements all of the time.
Jacob just sighed. He was really counting on the girls not noticing. He didn't want Bella to be worried.
"I don't know. Something just stinks." Jacob admits.
Bella raises an eyebrow. "Stinks? What does it smell like."
"That's what is bothering me. It doesn't smell like anything familiar."
Natalia was confused. Something stank in her house and her werewolf friend couldn't figure it out. Reacting to his K9 instincts Jacob started to sniff, while still in his human form. He was moving off the couch, went into the kitchen, and even in trash.
"I know you're like a dog or whatever but you are acting ridiculous." Natalia laughed.
Then all of a sudden, like he had some revelation, he dashed up the stairs into Natalia's room. Natalia quickly got off the couch and ran up stairs, Bella following after her. When she entered the bedroom, Jacob was standing in front of her desk, holding a baggie with white powder in it. Natalia froze. Bella stepped in with wide eyes. Jacob looked so angry.
"What. Is. This." Jacob growled.
Natalia walked forward trying to get the baggie out of his hands but Jacob moved to the other side of the room before she could. Bella looked shocked. She couldn't believe what she saw.
"Are you doing drugs Nat?" Bella asked.
"Keep your voice down. My mom is in the other room." Natalia shut her door, hoping her mom couldn't hear anything.
Jacob just rolled his eyes, Bella let out an 'oh' because Natalia basically just admitted to doing cocaine.
"How long has this been going on." Jacob questioned, still holding the evidence.
Natalia couldn't look at the two teenagers; she just kept her eyes glued on the ground. "Since Mexico."
"Oh my gosh. I thought you just been working out, but no. You've been doing coke!" Bella raised her voice.
Natalia noticed that she had been getting skinnier since she started doing the drug. She wasn't mad though, she thought she could afford to lose a few pounds.
"What would Jasper think?" Bella stressed.
Natalia's lip started to tremble, and her eyes burned as she tried to keep her tears at bay.
"I don't care about what he thinks! He's the reason I'm doing this. He just left."
Bella went in to give her a hug. Natalia wrapped her arms around Bella's back and sobbed into her neck. Jacob was taken back by the scene he had just witnessed. He expected the girl to be angry at him, expected her to lash out. When Natalia wasn't looking, he stuck the drugs in his pocket and then went to join the group hug. They all pulled away and Natalia whipped her tears, they were left staring at each other.
"Are you addicted?" Bella asked.
"No. I have only done it a few times." Natalia looked at both of them in the eyes. "I promise I will throw them out."
Jacob shakes his head. "I will get rid of it."
Natalia frowned but quickly replaced it with a grateful smile. She was hoping that Jacob would have let her get rid of the baggie. She wasn't going to let Jacob know that though. After a few minutes, both Jacob and Bella, gave Natalia a hug and left her alone in her bedroom. When she knew the coast was clear she walked over to her mirror and wiped the fake tears that were left from her cheeks. She knew that Bella was going to keep pestering her so she told a sob story about Jasper. Bella still had a weak spot for Edward. Natalia knew that and used her connection to the Cullens to her advantage. Add a few tears and boom, both Jacob and Bella were trying to comfort her.
Natalia opened her window. Outside there was a little box that was meant to be used as an outlet. That's where Natalia hid her second baggie of cocaine. If her mom found Natalia's first baggie in her desk then she had a second one when the first was taken away. Natalia took it out of its hiding spot and brought it over to her desk. She put her hair in a ponytail and then grabbed a random rewards card she had. She set the powder into two lines and went to snort. She took one right after the other. Natalia started to feel the high and smiled. She quickly wiped the leftover off of her desk and went to put it back into its hiding spot. Natalia went on her bed, stumbling a few steps to get there.
She fell onto her bed laughing. She felt happy. She sat up and grabbed her phone to call someone.
"Rose! I--- I need to ask you something. I was just wondering, can vampires feel the effects of cocaine? If you can then you should try it. Everyone should! It makes you feel so good. Anyways bye now!"
