Bright and early, Natalia heard a knock on her bedroom door. Her mom opened it and told her that Jasper was there. While her mother, sister, and Abuela were asleep, Natalia snuck out of her bedroom window and went to the Cullen house. Natalia had a bad feeling in her stomach about Alice's vision. She couldn't believe that a group of vampire's were coming after Bella.
Natalia loved Bella, like a sister. However, Natalia thought that Bella was selfish and got herself into a lot of problems that other people had to get her out of. Natalia never wanted Bella to die but she couldn't help but wonder what life would be like if James killed her.
Natalia walked downstairs and saw Jasper playing a quick round of Go FIsh with her grandma.
"What are you guys doing today?" Abuela asked.
Natalia made eye contact with Jasper, afraid that her grandma would tell that she was lying.
"My brother's in town. He wanted the family to go hiking." Jasper answered.
Before her grandma could answer, Natalia opened the front door, one foot outside. "We should go now."
Jasper just smiled and walked out with Natalia.
Alice did not look optimistic. She was watching Jasper warm up with Emmett. Natalia was standing besides Rosalie watching Emmett go down.
"Emmett come on! Get off your ass!" Natalia tried to get on his nerves.
Soon everyone turned their vision to the jeep that just arrived. Bella and Edward stepped out of the car. Soon they joined the group, and Natalia could feel her nerves coming back. Natalia had every reason to be worried. While in the next few weeks Natalia wouldn't technically be a newborn, she still had the strength of one. She didn't want to be the reason anyone got hurt.
"Hey Edward," Emmett greeted him. "Hey Bella. Is he going to let you practice too?"
Edward groaned at his brother. "Please Emmett, don't give her any ideas."
Natalia laughed. Then the smell of the wolves took over all of the vampire's senses. They turned their attention to the rocks above and saw Sam and his pack arrive. Natalia took a deep breath in. Jasper pulled her closer to him, trying to not show the pack that he doesn't really trust them.
"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms." Edward told everyone.
It took everything in Natalia not to roll her eyes. She didn't want to start anything. Her eyes went across the pack and landed on one particular grey wolf. Natalia hadn't seen him in so long, she wanted to touch him. She knew she couldn't.
"They came. That's what matters. Will you translate?" Carlisle said to Edward.
Jacob moved his way to be closer to Bella. Paul just let out a whimper at seeing Natalia all pale faced. Alice moved closer to Bella, as a way to protect her in needed.
