<OST: Sleepless Night - Crush ft. Punch>

A whole day passed, and no one was doing that great.

KNJ News was still in chaos, as everyone tried their best to keep calm and carry on after the reporters had been dispersed by the police. Needless to say, BG Entertainment was in an even worse state - Seokjin and Jimin were this close to drowning under the number of calls and paperwork they had to attend to. Everyone was busy, either busy cleaning up their mess, or feeling bad about themselves.

In particular, Jennie felt terrible.

Ding! Dong!

Yoongi answered the doorbell almost immediately and peered his head out of the door.

"Hey," Jennie said with a troubled frown. "Can I come in?"

At this point, Yoongi was no longer surprised by the fact that Jennie showed up outside his door almost everyday. In fact, it felt almost natural that every evening, she'd come looking for him. Maybe that's why Yoongi always made sure he was positioned somewhere in the living room every evening, so that he'd never miss her at the door. Shrugging nonchalantly and nodding his head ever so slightly, Yoongi held the door wide open for Jennie to come in.

"Thanks," Jennie muttered as she threw herself down on Yoongi's couch, as if it was her own home.

"You look exhausted," Yoongi commented, his eyes hovering in her direction. She did look really tired.

"I am," Jennie groaned as she sat up straight, glancing in Yoongi's direction as if she had something to say. "I... I came back from discussing with JK about the scandal not too long ago."

"Ah... I see." Yoongi swallowed hard, turning his attention away from Jennie for a moment towards the cup of water he was pouring for Jennie. "Have you had dinner? Shall I make some food-"

"Why are you changing the topic?" Jennie turned around to face him, her eyebrows furrowed. "I just told you that I met JK today to discuss what to do from now. Aren't you curious how the conversation went down and what's the final decision we made?"

Yoongi walked in front of Jennie and set the cup of water down on the coffee table before turning to glance at the kitchen distractedly. "Not really. What do you feel like eating today? I'm thinking just something simple, like ramyeon or-"

Jennie wasn't happy about the response she was getting. She got up from her seat, stood upright, reached up with her two tiny hands and grabbed Yoongi's face, turning it towards her. Yoongi, clearly taken by surprise, stepped back a little, but his eyes managed to focus on her eyes, which sparkled like stars in the night sky.

"Can you look at me?" Jennie requested, her hands still cupping his cheeks as she stared deeply into Yoongi's eyes. "I need your attention, right now."

"Mmh-" Yoongi managed, as his cheeks felt hot and his eyes tried their best to avoid Jennie.

"Why aren't you curious at all about what we spoke about?" Jennie questioned. "Aren't you curious to find out whether or not we decided to tell everyone the truth, or to continue lying to them? Don't you wanna know? This affects your-"

"Of course I'm curious," Yoongi finally said, his voice soft and gentle as his eyes landed on Jennie once more. "I- But I don't want what I think to pressurise you. I already know how affected you are by this scandal. You always worry about what people think of you... and though since this morning, you've never really expressed it, I know how you feel. I know how afraid you must be, and I know how worried you must feel about what people are currently saying about you on the Internet, even as we speak. You don't say it, but your body language, your expressions, the look in your eyes... it shows. I may have my own opinions, Jennie, but I don't want any of it to affect your decision at all. Because ultimately, I just want to see you happy. If you want to tell everyone the truth because it makes you feel relieved, go ahead. If you want to hide the truth for fear that people might say things comparing you and Jieun-ssi... go ahead. Neither of those decisions is going to change things between us anyway. As long as you're happy, everything else doesn't matter to me."
