<OST: Like a fool - 2AM>

Jennie sat in the cab to the airport with tears pouring down her cheeks, preventing her from seeing well as she frantically texted Yoongi.

You:
please tell me you haven't left
please
min yoongi reply me
oppa pick up your phone
please i'm literally begging you
oh my god please
don't you dare board that plane
i haven't even said goodbye

It was the CCTV footage she had seen.

So many things she never knew Yoongi did for her.

So many things he never told her about.

She now knew how much he cared for her.

But was it all too late...?

Jennie tapped at her phone frantically, hoping with all her might that it wasn't.

- - -

You:
oppa please
don't go

There was no reply, so Jennie was afraid that it was.

Her heart was heavy and filled with regret about what had happened between them yesterday.

He had begged her to let him stay, but she refused.

That had been his way of expressing himself... yet to that, Jennie turned a blind eye.

Jennie now knew, how much she meant to him.

The CCTV footage told her everything - every time Yoongi would pace outside his door, back and forth, waiting for her late at night. When he finally heard the 'ding' from the lift, he'd charge back inside his house. When the person who came out of the lift was Jennie, he'd stay inside. When it wasn't, he'd come out and continue pacing until it was.

Even the few times when they had agreed to meet too, he'd appear outside Jennie's door, take a deep breath before knocking, but still end up not knocking. He'd wait for a while outside her door, evaluate his outfit, before coming out a while later in a different shirt or pants - making sure his outfit looked good.

Even yesterday night when they agreed to meet, he had come out earlier, dressed in a nice dress shirt and pants and his hair styled up - something Jennie knew was completely out of his comfort zone. Still, he had done so. Jennie couldn't help but notice that that exact boyfriend look had been something she had mentioned in an interview without much thought... Was it a coincidence? Jennie now doubted so. Still, ten minutes before she came out, he went back in and changed out, even ungelling his hair - probably too embarrassed to show it to her.

And... the most surprising thing of all was what Jennie heard from the security guards. A year ago when Jennie had barely even known him and she had crumbled into a sad sobbing mess right outside Jungkook's door, he was the one who gave her those tissues and put the blanket over her. He was the one who helped her, even despite not knowing her at that time. Their time together had gone so long back yet Jennie didn't even have any idea.

All these small little gestures... that went unnoticed by Jennie. He had put in so much effort for her... yet she thought that he only wanted to stay just because she had relapsed. Why was that so? Simply because she had the idea he liked her no more than she did? He himself had said before that he shared the same feelings as her too... why didn't she trust him?
