<OST: Boom Boom - Hong Dae Kwang>

The next day arrived, somehow.

Jennie was surprised to find herself on Yoongi's couch when she woke up the next morning, but was pleasantly surprise to see him already cooking up some breakfast for her as she slept in. Meanwhile, Jieun had already come over to Jungkook's house for her usual girlfriend duties, as Seokjin had gone to the office to settle some matters.

"What are you doing today?"

"Me?" Jieun shrugged as she lay on the couch. "I don't know, maybe read some books, watch some TV and give you some inspiration...?"

"Sounds good-" Jungkook grinned. "You can do just that, while I focus on writing my song for today. It's gonna be so fun."

"Ooh-" Jieun eyed Jungkook, wriggling her eyebrows cheekily as she teased him. "Looks like someone is in a good mood today."

"You know what?" Jungkook grinned proudly. "I don't know what it is, exactly... But I slept so peacefully last night - for the first time in literally ages. I feel so energised and alive, Jieun-ah. I feel like... I can write the entire song today."

"Really!" Jieun burst into laughter. "Wow, you have no idea how happy this makes me, Jungkook-ah. To be honest with you, I was just talking to Seokjin-oppa yesterday about convincing you to let me move back in so I can help you get better. Hearing that you're getting better on your own without my help makes me even happier though. Monitor it for a while more and let's see if it continues... If it does, maybe we can pinpoint what exactly helped you make that switch."

"Well, I for sure hope that I'm finally going to recover from insomnia."

"Don't worry, Jungkook-ah-" Jieun held onto Jungkook's hand. "I'll help you through this no matter what. Please promise me, that if after this, things don't go well, you'll let me help you. I know I agreed to let you recover on your own as per your wishes... but it really pains me to see you so exhausted and lethargic everyday."

"We'll talk about that if the situation arises," Jungkook brushed off the subject. "In the meantime, well - I know for a fact that Seokjin-hyung would definitely like to swap places with you to be with Byulyi-ssi, for sure."

"Yeah, you're right-" Jieun let out a small chuckle before bringing the topic up carefully. "Hey, by the way, didn't we agree to help Seokjin-oppa and Byulyi-unnie get together a while back? I realised that we really haven't done much, have we?"

"Ah... you're right-" Jungkook shrugged. "But don't you think Seokjin-hyung is doing pretty fine just on his own? He has become so much more forward and direct than he was a few months back. Did you see him today? He was literally hovering around Byulyi-ssi like he's some sort of butterfly or something."

"Ah..." Jieun nodded slowly. "Yeah, about that-"

Jungkook raised his eyebrows. "What about that?"

"I found out something really interesting last night-" Jieun said carefully. "The evidence is pretty solid, but I still don't want to jump to conclusions immediately. Before I make a decision, I need your help to answer a few of my questions honestly."

"What is it?" Jungkook frowned. "You're making it sound so mysterious."

"Just promise me you'll tell me whatever you know."

"I promise," Jungkook said without hesitation. "But what is it about though? I don't want to accidentally spill about something I shouldn't exactly be spilling about-"

"Don't worry about that, the question is pretty easy," Jieun assured Jungkook. "The question is whether you know if Seokjin-oppa has some sort of book-reading habit or something."
