The shock Byulyi got when she got that message from Seokjin was undeniable.

That cheesy pick-up line... that couldn't be from him, could it?

Byulyi had absolutely no idea why a little part of her wished that it really was him. And she had no idea why she was so surprised she had sent her something like that too... when he had always been sending shameless selfies of him. Was it a change of her heart or a change of his tone?

What was it...?

"Moon Byulyi!"

Byulyi looked up, and there he was.

Just like how he looked like when she last saw him, waving at her from the backseat of his father's van, as they drove away from Bucheon, 20 miles per hour

Just like how he looked like when she last saw him, waving at her from the backseat of his father's van, as they drove away from Bucheon, 20 miles per hour. That same cute face, those same adorable features, that same radiant smile... she couldn't deny that she missed it.

"Oh-" Byulyi's face lit up as she got to her feet. "Sandeul-ah! It has been so long!"

"You look the same, Moon Byulyi-" Sandeul scanned Byulyi from head to toe. "Just as... pretty as when you were young."

"O-Oh..." Byulyi, who wasn't expecting that compliment at all, blushed furiously. "Well, you too..."

Sandeul smiled as he gestured across the table. "Have a seat!"

Byulyi did as she was told, even more nervous than she had expected herself to be.

"So how has things been for you?" Sandeul asked with a sincere smile. "We haven't been in contact at all so I don't know where to start..."

"Ah-" Byulyi let out a nervous chuckle. "I've been writing! I'm a writer."

"That's so cool!" Sandeul beamed. "I remember how you used to love writing action novels when we were young! Those fighting ones, the thriller ones, hero novels, remember? The ones that have a little bit of sci-fi in them? That genre is so fun! You mean you write such stories for a living now? That's so cool! You must be doing really well..."

Romcom novels sounded lame compared to those genres she used to challenge, Byulyi thought.

She let out an awkward chuckle. "Um... well..."

"Can I have a look?" Sandeul asked excitedly as he whipped out his phone. "Where do you post your stories?"

Byulyi, for some reason, no longer wanted to show him her stories.

"Um-" Byulyi scratched the back of her neck. "Well... to be honest, they aren't that great. I'll show them to you next time... Next time."

"Ah... alright then." Sandeul shrugged as he slid his phone back into his pocket. "I guess I'll have to see it next time instead."
