"You wouldn't..." Jimin shook his head slowly in disbelief as he pulled out his phone and looked down into it, tapping frantically to retrieve the old messages he had sent to her. "Jennie Kim, I swear-"

Jennie had no idea what to do. Why did she even ask him to look into Yoongi's past? She should have done it herself, or hired a private investigator... why did she even ask her nosy manager, Jimin, of all people?

"Oppa-"

"There-" Jimin looked up at Jennie, looking absolutely horrified as he confirmed the one fact he wished was not true - that this Min Yoongi... was precisely that Min Yoongi. "Kim Jennie, you're seriously unbelievable."

"He's not a bad person, oppa, I swear-" Jennie pleaded, as she held Jimin by his arm. "Listen to me, I know him well-"

Jimin glanced in Yoongi's direction, grabbed Jennie by the arm and pulled her to another corner out of sight of Yoongi and with even less people around.

"I told you to stay far away from him, didn't I?" Jimin was getting more and more worked up by the minute, his face getting all red in anger at this point. "And what did you do instead? After knowing about his past, you not only refused to move out of that apartment building, you even moved right next to him. Jennie Kim, are you sure you're in the right mind?! I know you've never listen to me for the past few years - not even once, but this is not something to be treated so lightly, you know that? What if he did something to you? Do you know what-"

"He's not that type of person, oppa-" Jennie said quietly. "He'd never hurt me."

"How do you know?" Jimin folded his arms and looked Jennie in the eye. "You asked him? Or... he told you on his own accord? Or... based on the short few days you knew him back then, you just decided that this guy, despite having a criminal history, is a good guy and that you can hang out with him like close friends and you'll be fine? Is that what you thought? Jennie-ya, how can you even be this naive-"

"He didn't tell me-" Jennie said softly. "I saw for myself, oppa - what type of person he was, the way he treated me, the way he feared people just like I did. He's not the monster you make him out to be - he'd never hurt me, not anyone."

"Are you even listening to yourself right now?" Jimin leaned in, looking absolutely horrified. "What has he done to you, Jennie-ya? You're talking about a guy who has actually gone to jail for murder, Jennie Kim. Murder. I don't know what is going through your head but this is no drama, Jennie-ya... this is real life. That man... he actually killed someone."

"No, he didn't."

"He literally did!" Jimin's jaw dropped. "What are you even saying right now!"

"He didn't, oppa-" Jennie stared Jimin straight in the eyes, looking the most sure of herself she had ever been. "He'd never."

"What? Were you there?" Jimin ran his fingers through his hair frustratedly. "You saw with your very own eyes that he didn't?"

"No, he told me he didn't-"

"Oh, wow-" Jimin scoffed. "So just because he told you he didn't, you actually believe him-"

"Actions speak louder than words-" Jennie insisted. "He may have said that and I still wouldn't believe him if not for his actions."
