For once, it wasn't Jennie knocking on Yoongi's door but the opposite way round that morning.

Knock! Knock!

Yoongi barely knocked a few times at Jennie's door, before he was about to give up and leave.

But the door opened at that very moment and Jennie peaked out, delighted when she spotted who it was.

"Daebak-" Jennie widened her eyes and clapped her hands over her mouth dramatically. "Is this your first time looking for me on your own accord? I'm not dreaming, am I?"

"Ya-" Yoongi stared at Jennie blankly. "You seem to be in a good mood, considering everything that is happening this morning."

"I mean..." Jennie shrugged as she took a step back, allowing Yoongi to join her inside her house. "Other than the fact that most of South Korea is talking about me right now, Jimin-oppa has been trying to call me but I've been avoiding his calls, there's a whole bunch of reporters gathered downstairs and my phone is practically blowing up with notifications so much so that I have to switch it off... my morning has been pretty great. What about you? Good sleep?"

Yoongi stared at Jennie for a few seconds. "Hey."

Jennie smiled. "What's up?"

"You-" Yoongi turned to face Jennie as the door slowly closed behind him. "You decided to tell everyone the truth? Why did you do it? When did you film that video, Jennie-ya? I have so many questions..."

"Mm, it turned out that way." Jennie pursed her lips as she took a seat on the couch. "I called them over yesterday... and instructed them to upload it this morning."

"I'm not trying to doubt you or anything..." Yoongi assured her before continuing. "But what's your next step from here?"

"What next step?" Jennie let out an awkward chuckle. "I'll just have to save up money while waiting patiently for things to die down - did you see the comments under my article? They're pretty nasty. It's what I expected... but still."

"So this is your plan?" Yoongi raised his eyebrows. "Tell everyone the truth then just wait for things to slowly cool down on their own? I thought you had something else in mind-"

"I mean, ideally, I would-" Jennie shrugged. "But what other option did I really have? I wanted to tell everyone the truth, but at the same time I knew that people wouldn't be able to handle the truth well... so I had no choice but to sacrifice one. The moment I made my decision at the press conference that day, my fate was already destined - you know the saying, spilled water never returns to its glass."

"Do you... regret it?"

"Regret?" Jennie laughed as she shook her head. "Not at all - for the first time in the long time, I feel free. I'm no longer under the control of my sajang-nim, I no longer have to lie to the people who genuinely like me and finally, I can drop the act of liking someone when my heart belongs with someone else."

Yoongi cleared his throat and looked away quickly as Jennie stole a quick glance at him.

"Well... but if there's just one thing I need to pick that I don't really like about this whole situation..." Jennie nodded slowly. "I do have something in mind."

"Which is...?"

"The fact that, well-" Jennie hesitated a little as she stole a furtive glance in Yoongi's direction. "You know, I think two of us might have to stay a little lowkey for a while."
