<OST: Like a fool - 2AM>

"I still think you're crazy."

"I'm sad now, can you not?" Seokjin sobbed on the phone. "Cut the crap, do you have an extra apartment for me or no?"

"You speak as if I'm that rich-" Jungkook rolled his eyes as he focused on driving while on the road. "I'll come pick you up so just stay where you are. I'll help get you a hotel room or something to help you survive the next few days. In the meantime, you should start looking at houses, hyung."

"Jungkook-ah, after all, you're the one who got me into this..." Seokjin tried his luck. "Now that I'm homeless and heartbroken, can't you just-"

"No, not my house-" Jungkook objected before Seokjin could even suggest it. "There are only two rooms, I told you. And they're both occupied."

"I can sleep on the-"

"The couch is occupied too," Jungkook said without any hesitation. "I recently bought some weights so the whole living room is pretty damn cluttered. Sorry, hyung."

"You're mean."

"I'm the one who paid most of your rent but I'm mean...?" Jungkook scoffed as he turned the corner. "Who was the one who chose to get into an argument with their housemate and kick themselves out of a house halfway through their rental period?"

Seokjin let out a deep sigh. "Me."

"But anyway, don't worry about it, hyung-" Jungkook assured Seokjin as he stopped at a traffic light. "I'm just round the corner so-"

Jungkook stopped short as he glanced outside of his car. He wasn't sure if his eyes were playing tricks on him because he didn't have a good sleep last night or-

He rubbed his eyes and looked again.

Indeed, it was her. There was no doubt about it. And sitting across her, a guy who looked close to her age. He was good-looking too.

"So...? So what?" Seokjin chirped on the other end of the line. "Hello, JK? You still there? You didn't complete your sentence - just round the corner so... what?"

"Oh, um, hyung-" The traffic light turned green at that point and Jungkook hurriedly switched lanes to pull over by the road side. "I'm busy right now. I'll call you back in a bit, okay? Stay there!"

"Ya! Jungkook-ah? You can't just leave me here! I'll cry, I swear! Don't you dare hang up on me now! What if I can't reach you after this? Jungkook-ah?"

"Sorry, hyung-" Jungkook put on his mask and sunglasses, pulling over a hoodie as he exited from his car. "It's urgent. I'll talk to you later. Bye!"

"YA! Jeon Jungkook, don't you dare-"

Beep!

Jungkook locked his car and entered the restaurant by the main door, scoring himself a seat by the window, right behind Jieun. As he glanced at her face to confirm that it was her, she barely even glanced in his direction so she couldn't recognise him, thankfully. But all because she was in a serious conversation with the man seated across her. Who could that guy possibly be? A friend? Her cousin? Her... boyfriend?

Jungkook sat down and listened attentively to theit conversation.

"I'm really sorry, bujang-nim."

Jungkook furrowed his brows in confusion. Bujang-nim?

"Don't worry about it, Jieun-ssi. Like I said earlier, everything that happens is a learning experience. I'm glad that I got to play a part in helping you figure out in what you really like."
