Statehouse Headcanons

This was originally gonna be a ship chapter, but I got distracted by this one

So lemme just propose the idea; if Georgia and North Carolina were secretly dating back in the 1800s, while Georgia was also taking care of Florida
Smol family.

(With that said all of these headcanons are gonna be from when Florida was smol)

- (back when Florida was still smol and being taken care of by Georgia) Sometimes North would come down to visit, and help with Florida

Florida was lowkey a bit sus about him, in the sense of him going "you're not my dad?", but he eventually got closer to him after a few nights of him staying there

- Geo and North talk for hours at a time while the two would be picking peaches, North usually the one helping him

- Baking.
Georgia can bake pies, North can somewhat help, and Florida can watch
Florida is only allowed to help when they're baking cookies, and is the one who gives them shape (and is allowed to lick the spatula)

- I think I've said it before, but Loui is the really close best friend that's not technically part of the family, but is close enough to where he could be
Georgia cares just as much about Loui as he does about Florida, even when basically the entire south was harassing him after they found out he practiced witchcraft

Loui would run to Georgia's house to run away from the others sometimes, and cry to him about how scared he was. Of course, Georgia would welcome him with open arms, and usually comfort him.

- Whenever North comes down from his state to Georgia, Georgia almost immediately passes out once he gets home, and North is left in charge of Florida (and Loui depending on if he'd there or not)

- Loui carries around Florida sometimes
Not in the sense of like, a piggyback ride. No, he just walks up behind him, puts his arms around his waist, and picks him up
It's usually to stop him from doing something that'd hurt him (since Loui would technically be the older of the two), and just carries him back to somewhere safe, or the house

- The two also fond of going in swamps, and doing things like catching frogs and such
Sometimes they even go with some of the other states around their age (Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas mainly)

They've also seen a gator a few times before. Tex and the others were a lot more cautious then Loui and Florida, since they were just use to it
Once Florida even just patted one on the head and named it Pecas, since it had like spots on it that looked like freckles

- Georgia always has to comfort Florida whenever North leaves to go back to his state

In return, North writes a letter to them as often as he can, to reassure both of them while he's gone

- Georgia can be seen holding tiny Florida's hand when leaving a meeting

- North is always bringing Georgia flowers whenever he gets the chance
Georgia likes to turn them into pressed flowers, and keeps them all in a book he was given
