more historical state headcanons

a sequel to "Headcanons of the states before they were super old", because that title was way to long for my taste

- back when the 13 colonies were a thing, Rhode Island was excluded or just exiled from the rest of New England (bc of how basically all of the population there was either exiled or ran away from Massachusetts, and how they had started acting up and becoming a little to free if you catch my drift), so that gives me the idea that homeboy could've been neglected as a kid by all the other colonies at the time

- California would spend sometimes hours just wondering around a California poppy field. He'd never pick or sit on any of the flowers, so he'd probably just sit in the small empty patched in between flowers
I just thought this was a really soft and cute hc for homeboy

- Less of a headcanon, but just imagine the states having state meetings back when states were still being added. So like you have the first 13 which are the oldest, which ever states after them who aren't super old but aren't super young, then you just have children. Just a tiny child that has just turned into a state, sitting on a chair with his head barley peeking over the table

- Texas being lowkey kind of sad when he meets child Alaska because he knows he's going to be taller then him soon
But Alaska at the time is also somewhat fond of Texas so he doesn't say anything to him

- Both the Dakota's, Montana, and Minnesota having the most intense snowball fights up north whenever they hung out together (I wouldn't doubt it if they still did tbh)

- Florida, Texas, and California liked to talk in spanish since they were the only states at the time who fully understood it (usually they just spoke it to make fun of the other states)

- DC probably yelled at Florida more often back then than he does now
Probably also the reason why Florida just doesn't give a damn about it now, and why DC is slightly less of a dick
