Statehouse Headcanons

Headcanons of the states before they were super old

In case the title didn't make sense, basically just headcanons of when the states were somewhat in their youth(so like first 100ish years of their statehood-)

- Delaware very much acted like an older brother/caretaker to the colonies when they were still under British rule(and still kind of does)
They still did get into a lot of arguments and such, but he was usually the one who took care of them, and was pretty good with the whole discipline thing without making it borderline abuse (honestly a miracle looking at the time period)

- Maine calls Massachusetts "big bro"

- Florida surprisingly wasn't the most rowdy kid when he became a state since he was still really sad by Spain leaving him
However, he did slowly progress from "sad boy" to "average rowdy kid" to "arson" over time

- Alaska was the most troubled kid when it came to getting along with others, and was bullied quite a bit by the neighborhood boys
He's best friend at the time(besides Hawai'i) was his dog
Who was taken by his dickhead bullies, so he cried a lot about it to Hawai'i and some of the older states at the time

- Utah and DC were definitely the most respectful/quieter states when growing up

- Texas, California, and Florida all were part of a small friend group when they first joined the union since they didn't know much English yet, and were honestly just pretty lonely

- For as long as Nevada can remember, the older states have always been bugging him to cut his hair(even trying to forcefully cut it themselves), but he never did unless it got way to long. The he'd cut off a good 7 inches and wait for it to come back

- Georgia was always a hopeless romantic and fell for basically any pretty girl he saw

- North and South Dakota were the siblings twins who fought all the time except x10
These children did not stop fighting I stg
Montana and Wisconsin would probably just watched while some older state would have to split them up
Which then lead to North Dakota accidentally punched said state while trying to swing at South
They got in trouble a lot if you couldn't tell

Ok I really liked writing this chapter, so they might be apart 2 if I'm not lazy

And there wasn't as much angst in here, not because I haven't thought of any ideas but like- I don't want y'all to just read sad stuff all the time
