New York x California:
- they give me very much "this side of paradise" vibes (the song linked at the top)
- They've switched beanies before to mess with the states, and it works slightly more then it should've
- As much time as they probably spend in the city together (since that's what they're known for), they also enjoy going to less populated areas They probably go visit places like upstate New York or some farm or forest-y counties in California from time to time
- California usually info dumps a bunch to New York, either on the history of the place they're staying in (if they're in his state), or just anything that comes to mind at the moment New York just smiles and listens, adding in his own little commentary in between
- Their egos cancel each other out
- Even though both of them wear their beanies basically all day, New York is somewhat more kept together then Cali The difference is that New York actually brushes his hair out before putting on his beanie, meanwhile Cali just throws it on because his hair's messy, which only leads it to be more messy, creating a weird cycle of messy, unkempt hair And it annoys the shit outta New York. He'd probably force him to brush his hair out everyday after a while of it happening, and has also probably had to help him brush it out too
- Just New York scolding Cali about how he needs to take care of himself better while also being extremely gentle with his hair
Vermont x New Hampshire:
- I don't know if someone's mentioned this ship before, but I just thought of it and I think it's wholesome
- I've said it once before, but since I think Vermont would give of some cottagecore lesbian vibes because of how many there are over there, that already gives some wholesome vibes to go with Vermont be making a whole scrumptious ass pie in the kitchen, and New Hampshire just walking and hugging him going "I've fallen in love with an angel"
- Definitely prefer going out together during winter a bit more then summer Seem like the type to go ice skating together and being all cutesy
- They both enjoy very retro type places, they probably own a huge in New Hampshire's state that's like 300 years old
- Would definitely have a huge empty room in their house and use it to dance to a bunch of old Victorian style music or something together
Pennsylvania x Massachusetts: (I'll make a separate part for PA x MA x MD later
- *angrily yelling "I love you MORE!" at each other*
- depending on which headcanon you prefer more, Mass' little brother would probably tease him about it since PA is the taller one, and also their initials
- I just love the personality clash between the two Because PA is very much a sporty sports man who is pretty sociable and has chaotic good vibes, meanwhile Mass is a relatively smart person (Harvard) with not the best social skills and gives off strong "anger anger dont touch me" vibes
- If PA is about to pull some shit, he'll probably warn him a good 5 times before going "okay fine if you break your neck it's not gonna be my damn problem" Then proceeds to tag along with him just in case
- I feel like Mass would be the type of person to sketch random drawings of people on the side of a paper or something when he's bored. He usually draws PA if anything, since he can sketch him out by memory
Alaska x Rhode Island:
- a tal and a smol falling for each other
- Rhode loves when Alaska lets him sit on his shoulders He feels superior to everyone in that room when he does
- Since Rhode Island is just kind of an angry small thing that cries when he gets mad, and Alaska can be genuinely fucking terrifying sometimes, you can bet that when someone else is arguing with Rhode Island, Alaska will just stand ominously and scared them away to make his bf feel good
- Rhode has a habit of crying very easily when he's embarrassed or angry, so Alaska has definitely teased or comforted him about it before
- Rhode has attempted to steal Alaska's hoodies. And he has successfully stolen them, but they are so fucking big on him Alaska just immediately notices But Alaska thinks it's adorable so he just lets him
Once, Alaska tried to tuck it in for him, which ended with Rhode just running away flustered and screaming "TuCkiNg iN sHIRts iS gAY-"
- Also a lot of cuddles Because cuddles are hella soft, and so are these bois
Utah x Colorado: it's worth mentioning that in this hc, Utah isn't a homophobic dumb bitch dirt man that headcanon is reserved for angst and anger reasons only With that said, he definitely had/has internalized homophobia, but he's working on it
- Colorado has jokingly asked Utah to smoke multiple times All attempts ended with him getting a smecked over the head with some random book in reach (probably a Bible)
Colorado: baby, would you, my lovely,hermosoo, cariñoooso, boyfriend, like to roll a churrito with me?-
Utah: *bonk*
- Also speaking of that Coco would use some cheesy spanish names on him Maybe some French one every once in a while, but Utah wouldn't understand those ones
- Them being together radiates such confusing energy Like when the others found out they were- shook Half of them didn't even know that Utah was part of the alphabet mafia, and those who assumed didn't think he'd go for Colorado of all people
- Less of a headcanon and more of just an idea so with this ship, I've noticed that we just kind of disregard Illithia in all of this- And I thought it would be funny if they were just in a poly or open relationship, since Florida would definitely make fun of him for actually being part of that stereotype
Either that or we just pretend she doesn't exist Or some very spicy drama could be started with that but that's something else entirely
- Utah helps Coco when he has a bad trip
- Utah can honestly be kind of sassy at times(not including all the fics of him being an asshole), but he is very sweet when dealing with Coco's episodes However the second someone says something to rude about him he has to show restraint I mean he'd never beat someone up obviously, but he would put up a hell of an argument though
