Statehouse Headcanons

I have arrived with even more kid headcanons

We have come to a point where I can't tell if I'm depressed or just very sleepy

- The states owning a bunch of livestock/pets when they were younger

-Georgia had both chickens and sheep
South Carolina had ducks, chickens, and cows
Texas had a bunch of different animals, but specifically a baby cow named Bessie, that was sadly killed by some animal in the wild. He had cried a lot to Loui about it
California had a horse named Alma
All of the southern states had at least some form of livestock
Alaska had quite a few dogs, and liked keeping frogs when he was living in a somewhat warmer area

- The oldest of the 13 colonies thought that Vermont was adorable, just for the reason that he was the first state that came after them. It didnt help that Vermont was just kind of soft back then

Just a kid that liked maple syrup and hugs

- California use to just pass around pieces of gold to the other states when the gold rush was happening. Mainly giving them out to anyone he wanted to be his friend (so almost everyone)

Once he handed some to New York, who just smiled at him and handled it back. Cali accidentally took it as a sign that New York didn't want to be friends with him, and started to tear up. York just ended up accepted the gold to make him feel better, and subtly put it back into his little pouch when he wasn't looking

(this hc is kind of old, but I had a drawing idea about it)

- A surprisingly large amount of states were terrified of DC when they were small

Some of those states being Florida, Wisconsin, Texas, California, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, the Dakotas, Hawai'i, and Alaska

- Hawai'i would move around a lot between states, being that she was taken care of by almost all of them for at least a little bit of time
She mainly was cared for by Mary, Mass, and PA, and stayed in a house the 3 lived in together

- Louisiana loved going into New Orleans because of the pretty big population difference there compared to everywhere else in the state
Sometimes he'd bring Florida with him, and they'd go around the city on their own

- I'm not sure who wrote it, but there was a headcanon that Wisconsin almost drowned when he was little

I think that the whole thing would've happened because he feel through a frozen lake while with North Dakota and Montana, and they had to go run and find someone to help him out
With that said, him and Illinois have gotten into an argument where Illinois accidentally goes too far and just says something along the lines of "you should've been stuck under the ice longer", and he runs off. Illinois was forced to apologize

- Coco trying to encourage Utah to be a bit more rebellious, and actually getting him to ditch on a day of church

- On the occasion that all the 13 colonies would be together when they were little, it was usually either Georgia, Delaware, or Maryland who acted as the parental figure
Since Rhode was somewhat neglected by the colonies, it really helped that Maryland would always trying to include him, and stopped the others from being rude
