Say something...

Beep...Beep...Beep...Beep...

Crisp, cool air filled Ahri's lungs. A sharp scent stung her nose after inhaling.

It was familiar.

She couldn't remember why.

Someone was holding her hand, gently rubbing their thumb in circles on the side of her upper wrist.

She tried to open her eyes some.

Bright white light flooded her pupils.

She grunted in annoyance.

"Mhhmmm..."

She heard the rustling of clothes.

The person holding her hand paused.

Once her eyes adjusted, she realized she was in a room.

Why?

Who was here?

Why was her memory so hazy?

Who was so worried about her?

What had she been doing before this?

How did she get here?

What's going on?

The room began to spin.

"Wh-where am I?" She mumbled, letting her eyes close again.

"The hospital," a familiar voice responded from beside her.

The soft rubbing began again.

"...w...why...?"

There was a pause.

"The bus crashed."

Her eyes flew open.

The bus.

Everything came flooding back into her mind.

The explosion.

The crash.

Her friends.

She sat sat straight up.

Pain.

She cried out as the person next to her helped her lie back down slowly. She felt him close to her.

Really close.

"It's okay," he whispered in her ear.

She could feel his breath on her neck.

"Everything is okay now. Ssshhhhhhh."He gave her a small and gentle kiss on the neck.

She felt herself relax.

"Everything is gonna be okay... I'm here..."

Blaze.

Blaze was the one sitting next to her.

He was the one holding her hand.

Blaze was the one holding her.

He was safe.

"Ahri... I'm so glad you're okay..." she felt him smile into her neck before gently kissing it again.

"...I thought I'd lost you..."
