"DADDY!" Luca shouted, running to Todoroki's side. "DADDY I MISSED YOU SOOOOO MUCH!"
"Hey there my little mermaid... how're you doing?"
The dark circles under Todoroki's eyes along with his weak smile were a dead giveaway to the reality of the situation.
"Good!"
Hoka dragged his foot. "We were gonna get you a cake, but auntie Ni and uncle J said you couldn't have one right now."
"Well," Todoroki smiled ruffling his son's hair. "At the moment daddy is sick and his body can't have cake. But when he gets better we can have all the cake in the world!"
The kids cheered and Todoroki gave Neko and Jikan a sad look.
He didn't have a liver, and livers process fat.
There's a buttload of fats in cake.
"How's Mizu?"
"She's recovering slowly but surely."
Todoroki laughed. "Taking her sweet time as always, I see. How are the others?"
"Mofū and Mizu are already starting to walk again, Bakugo is in the same situation as before, and Blaze, well..."
Todoroki nodded.
"You should tell her."
"The hospital already gave her a call."
