(Nineteenth chapter)

"Sowon?"

Silence prevailed and the person sighed, knowing that she was too stubborn to leave her room yet. Raising a hand, the person knocked loudly upon the wooden door a few times and tried to unlock the door but it was still locked and there was no answer from her as well.

"If you want to talk then I am always here. You know that right?"

When silence answered the person once more it felt frustrating but also a small hope lingered, that Sowon would open the door and allow the person to enter. But the person knew the truth better, wishing it was different. With a glance at the wooden door, the person left.

On the other side of the door, Sowon softly sniffed, trying her best to keep her sobs quiet and hoped the person had left when she didn't answer back. Looking at the phone beside her, she couldn't help but bit her lower lip and tremble with fear.

Would he ever forgive me?

That question bugged her from the past week after the incident as Sowon shut herself out from the world or her family. She had given up even on herself and could not bring to call Hoseok to apologise to him.

At least a hundred sorry text were sent by her but no response came and Sowon knew very well how hard it must be for her closest friend to be used and betrayed like this.

She groaned softly, tugging at her brown locks before slouching down on the bed and decided to take some rest. Crying was like a daily habit of hers and it exhausted her but she couldn't help it.

Breakfast was mostly skipped but dinner was unavoidable and Sowon avoided talking to anyone especially him. He was the reason why she was suffering and was glad that he was avoiding her as well.

Knock knock.

"What again?" Sowon murmured, inaudible to anyone outside the door.

She remained in her position for a few minutes and waited for the scolding, nagging and curses to fall upon her ear but was stunned when no noise was heard.

Unsure what to do Sowon straightened up and stared at the door with narrow eyes, trying to think who had knocked on her door and said nothing.

Was that a prank?

She was not in a mood for a joke or prank and decided to go back to her sleep but stopped when some shuffling occurred outside her door. Quietly listening, Sowon wondered if the person outside was trying to break her door.

Thankfully a small white piece of paper slipped under her door and fading of footsteps were becoming distant. Curious, Sowon slowly walked to her door and picked up the small note.

What could it be?

Her palm began to sweat and she could feel herself being nervous without any specific reason. Unfolding the piece of paper, Sowon was surprised to see neat writing on it.

'We need to talk. Please come out for a while.'
-Namjoon

Anger began to course through her blood as she crumpled the white paper into a small chunk of ball before harshly throwing it into her dustbin, hoping it would enter right into it.

Of course, it did not.

Scoffing she picked up the paper and raised her hand to throw it but stopped when something held her back. It was like an invisible tug of hand stopping her from throwing the paper.
