A/n: okay change of plans, this was supposed to be the pride chapter but I just realized that May was Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and we need to gove light to our favorite mixed woman, Michelle, the recognition she deserves. The Asian-Latina American (plus whatever other ethnicity Mitch's biological grandpa is) in her is quaking. This kind of gives light to the stories of the grandparents and all that history stuff, I had fun combining history to this fictional world.

Plus a bonus of MY grandparents' history at the end. And tomorrow is the Pride chapter I promise.

.

Today is May 29th, meaning a few more days befkre the end of Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and since I am of Asian roots, I decided to bring awareness of this beautiful month of celebration and create like a small vloggish-documenatry style video explaining my grandparents' story.

I started filming, explaining what the video is about, whike waiting for my grandparents and daughters to arrive.

"You told this to them in advance right?"

I nodded my head and leaned into her, the camera facing the both of us.

"Yeah, so they won't have an excuse not to be prepared."

There was a knock on the door and we opened it, only to be met with some of my facorite people. Yeye and Izzy were holding the sleeping twins while Mimi and Lola were both holding the baby bags.

We all greeted each other and Christen took the twins to te nursery to put them to sleep since they ahd woken up when Lola accidentally let out a loud ass sneeze, starting the two sleeping angels, leaving all 6 of us alone in the living room.

Which was a bad idea.

"La, hindi ako makakita." (La, I can't see.)

"Hala, bakit? Anong nangyari?" (Oh no, why? What happened?)

Lola looked at Isabella concerned, immediately going to her side to check on her until my daughter continued.

"Kasi may sipon ako." (Cause I have colds.)

I tried to stiffle my laughter while Lola looked at her like she was crazy.

"Bobo ka ba? May sipon ka tas hindi ka makakita? Puta ano yun? May duggong yung mata mo ukinana nga? Utang na loob Isabella, manang mana ka talaga sa nanay mo." (Are you dumb? You have colds but you can't see? What the fuck is that? You're eyes have snot? For god's sake Isabella, you are like your mom.)

I looked at her shocked.

"Huy, bakit ako nadamay? I wasn't doing anything." (Why was I dragged into this?)

"Because..."

She didn't finishe her sentence and just turned her back to me and started messing with the indoor plants.

"Damn, you really woke up today and chose violence."

"YEYE I WANT SOME DUMPLINGS!!"

"Isabella, Yòng nǐ nèixīn de shēngyīn, nǐ yào dàshēng." (Use your inner voice, you are being too loud.)

Izzy looked at Yeye sheepishly while he went to the fridge to bring out the dumplings they made yesterday, just ready to steam it since that is how Isabella likes it.

"Duìbùqǐ yéyé." (Sorry Yeye.)

"Méiguānxì, wǒ de xiǎo húdié.." (it's okay my little butterfly.)

I faced Isabella and raised my eyebrow at her.

"What happened to you, why are you so energetic right now?"
