Chapter 89

September 4, 2019

Right now I am on the plane flying back to America. The rest of my co-stars were on another flight because they were flying to Atlanta to shoot the rest of the film in Atlanta before they have to fly elsewhere to shoot some scenes but I won't be coming with because I was done shooting all of my scenes for now and won't be needed until much later so I was going straight to Seattle.

I scrolled through my tagged photos on Instagram as I watched their posts in amusement. They have been freaking out for a while now because I posted a picture and Christen and I (but they had no idea that was Chris) in my stories and may I just say that their responses are very entertaining. A lot of theories happening here and there but for some reason, none of them are about Christen and me. Some say that was Scarlett and some say it was Santana (even though it is clear that they all have their own partners and are very public about it.

But that makes me want to tease them more.

It is obvious that the ring I have on my ring finger is an engagement ring so it won't be a surprise when I do officially make a post about the engagement. Chris and I talked about it and she was fine with it but we figured not to disclose that she was my fiance because where is the fun in that?

I got a photo that Christen took a picture while ago and posted the picture.

I watched in amusement as they started debating in the comments. I just sent a quick message to Christen and Isabella before turning my phone off and closing my eyes to get a little shut-eye.

I missed the game against Portugal which was held yesterday at Philidelphia so they were just about to take their flights back to their respective clubs now then OL Reign would be having a match against Orlando in 3 days so as soon as the plane landed, I went straight to the field to train with the ladies. Isabelle flew in with Pinoe and Allie so I was also going to be meeting her there.

I kept my headset and sunglasses on as I made my way to the parking lot where my car was waiting for me. I threw all my luggage at the bag of my jeep and drove the 45-minute drive to the stadium. I parked my car beside Sue's car where I saw her waiting for me with my kit. I got out of my car and quickly pulled her in a hug.

"Hey, Sue."

"Hey Mitch, how was the flight over here?"

"Exhausting, thank you for this by the way."

She offered to hold my duffle bag for me to which I reluctantly agreed because she wouldn't take no for an answer. We walked inside the stadium side by side, flashing a smile to the guard while going in. When we entered, they were already warming up and I felt a body collide with me. 

"MOMMY!!"

I chuckled and hugged her tightly and spun her around before planting a huge kiss on her forehead. I felt her latch on me while she greeted Sue and we started walking towards the girls on the bench. My teammates all took turns greeting me before Vlatko told them to go back to warming up. Pinoe gave me one last squeeze and Allie tapped my shoulder before jogging back to the field.

"You sure you still want to train today? You could sit and watch if you want. I know you are tired."

I gave him a reassuring smile before pulling the man into a hug.

"Don't mind me, coach, I know I can handle it."

He gave me a pat on the back before I went back to my things and go to the locker room real quick to change into my training clothes.

I was updated by my lawyer about what was happening to my father's case and when the court date would be. We have pretty powerful evidence since there were pictures of the bruises and the text messages and voice messages that were sent to Ria so we have a pretty tight case right now and we are pretty confident that he is going to jail for good. 

Isabella and I decided to go to the mall to pass time before we would be meeting up with the Orlando players for dinner because of the match tomorrow. I bought her some new cleats and some new clothes from different brands before we went to the restaurant to meet up with Sydney, Alex, Ali, and Ashlyn. 

"So... Michelle. Black Widow."

"Work work on me Harris, sit your ass down."

I introduced myself to Syd and we quickly hit it off. She reminds me so much of Santana and I love it so much. We did a quick catch up and got to know each other more (well me towards Sydney since she's the only one out of everyone that I haven't met yet).

We ended up winning with a score of 7-1 me scoring 4 goals. Ashlyn was playfully glaring at me while I just gave her a cheeky grin and made my way towards the sideline for media duties.

A/N: Kinda just a filler chapter, kinda hit a small slump but I'm gonna be back maybe by Wednesday for another update.
