I woke up with someone knocking on my door. I quickly grabbed my glasses and fixed my hair a little before opening the door to see Christen standing there with a smile on her face.

"It's time for breakfast then we have the welcome meeting. I knew you were gonna over sleep so I brought you coffee."

I gave her a lazy smile and opened the door wider for her to enter and I wemt back to the bed to lay down. I heard my girlfriend's sweet chuckle making me grin.

"Baby come on, we have to go."

I turned around, giving her a pout. She leaned into me and gave me a kiss. I smiled causing out lips to disconnect and she helped me stand up. I went to the bathroom to take a quick shower since I wasn't able to do that last night. I changed into a William McKinley Alumni shirt and put jean shorts on before going out to slide in my sneakers.

I left my slightly curly hair down to leave it to dry naturally, got my room key before grabbing the coffee from the table and turning to Christen.

"Ready honey?"

"I should be asking you that you dork."

I giggled and put my arm around her shoulder as we started walking out of the room. We walked in the dining hall to see not even half of the team is here. We made our plates and I sat beside Becky while Christen went to sit infront of me, beside JJ and we all easily fell into conversation.

After the meeting finished, we went to the field to do a little drills and a scrimmage then we are free the whole afternoon so we decided to use tht time for a little team bonding.

Which leads us to what is happening right now.

Me playing the ukulele while the rest of the girls sing their hearts out (well the younger ones, Kelley and Crystal are screaming while the other veterans are whispering along) and I try to stiffle my laughter every time Kelley messes up the lyrics and gets lost.

After our beautiful and heartfelt rendition of 'You Belong with Me' by Taylor Swift accompanied by a  very very passionate contemporary dance given to us by the one and only Mallory Pugh, everyone cheered and automatically started suggesting me to sing for them.

"Okay fine, what do you guys want?"

They started speaking all at the same time but Becky shushed them.

"Just sing whatever you like."

I thought about it for a second before I finally got an idea. I fixed the ukulele on my lap and tried to remember the chords.

"Okay, usually I would play this song with the violin but since we don't have one right now, the ukulele will do."

They all became quiet, Sonnett was on instagram live and some were filming me which I don't mind. I gave the cameras a small smile before locking eyes with Christen, sending her a grin. I quickly looked away before anyone else would notice and just got lost in the song, swaying a little as the song progressed.
