You kicked Jasper through the door to a rooftop, sending him rolling across the concrete. Steve and Natasha followed behind you as you got onto the roof with him."Can't I just keep beating his ass until he cooperates?" You asked in a childish voice. Jasper got back to his feet and you kicked him back again. "Cmon. Zola's algorithm. Tell me about it or I'm cutting off your arm."
"I've never heard of it." Jasper backed away as quickly as he could, but eventually he came to edge of the building.
"Bullshit. What's Hydra planning?" You grabbed him by the tie, kicking him in the gut and positioning him over the edge. All you had to do was let go of his tie and that 40 degree angle he was at would do the rest.
"A wedding." He responded.
"Holy fuck I'm gonna kill him." You growled, summoning a dagger in your hand and placing it under his tie. You lightly sawed into the material, but not enough to cut it just yet.
"Sitwell. While I might have patience for these sort of things, (L/N) here doesn't. Start talking." Steve stepped up to your side. Jasper chuckled and rolled his eyes.
"Are you insinuating that you're gonna drop me from this roof? Because you and I both know you guys need m-" Jasper was cut off as you slashed his tie in two, letting him fall from the building, screaming all the while.
"Can't say you didn't warn him." Natasha remarked.
"Nat, you remember when I was talking about getting a dog back in Central Park? So I've been looking around and I honestly might get a Border Collie. Although I'm still leaning towards Siberian Husky." You turned to her, arms crossed as you reminded her of the short conversation the two of you had.
"Border Collies are cute. Huskies are really energetic and need to be walked loads, so I'm not sure how you'd deal with that." Nat made a valid point. Then again you could always hire a dog walker or a house maid to watch over them while you were away.
Sitwell's screams resurfaced as Sam flew up and dropped him back onto the rooftop. The wings of his Falcon backpack closed up once he hit the ground. It was actually quite cool.
The three of you walked towards Jasper again as he crawled to his feet. Clearly the fall had been very fear inducing. You still say that you could've just compelled it out of him, but when you heard the plan you thought it would be way more fun.
"Zola's algorithm is a program-" He held up a hand in defence, apparently not wanting you to grab him again. "It's a program for choosing Insight's targets."
"What targets?" Steve asked.
"You!" Jasper motioned to the three of you. "A TV anchor in Cairo, the Under Secretary of Defence, a high school valedictorian in Iowa City, Bruce Banner, Stephen Strange, anyone who's a threat to Hydra. Now, or in the future."
"Yes, allow us to target the brain surgeon that could topple our empire. What the fuck is Strange going to do?" You narrowed your eyes at him. You never met Strange personally. Apparently Raven knew someone, who knew someone, who had a friend who was dating him. The explanation she gave you at one point had left you with a headache because of how hard it was to understand.
"How could it know if someone would be a threat in the future?" Steve squinted. He had a valid point. There was no way to quite literally predict the future... right?
"How could it not?" Sitwell said with a laugh as he got to his feet. "The 21st century is a digital book. Zola taught Hydra how to read it." Everyone went quiet, confused as to what he meant. He looked between you all before elaborating.
