Chapter 84: Blood Demon

"Incoming. Two klicks to the east." Danny called out, holding a pair of goggles in front of his eyes as he scanned across the city. They were down in Chilpancingo, Mexico on an assignment: Him, Jessica, Luke and Matt.

The team was split up through the city. Danny and Jones were on one rooftop. Luke and Matt were inside of a separate building keeping a low profile.

"Is it them?" Matt questioned through their comms.

"Unless full white, full black and... full white and black has become a new clothing trend." Danny replied. Jessica snatched the binoculars from him, looking through them in the same direction he was.

On the left was a woman with silver hair, her clothes were fully white and she had an overcoat of the same colour. Her eyes were a piercing blue and she looked stern.

On the right was a masked man in mostly black. He wore a white cowl over his head that descended down into a cape, and he carried a metal staff in his left hand.

In the middle was a man in black, fire like bottoms. Dark grey, armour like plating covered his torso and arms, while a tight, pure black neck gaiter covered his mouth and nose.

The trio stormed down an empty street. Those passing by seemed to act unaware to their presence, as if they were being mentally forced not to.

When Jessica saw what was happening, it made her heart palpitate. She handed the binoculars back to Rand before exhaling as she stared widely into the distance.

"I thought it was just him and Ronin?" Luke said in confusion.

"It was supposed to be." Matt said with a long sigh. This wasn't what they had prepared for.

"So what do we do?" Cage asked, turning his head towards the other man who clenched the red fists of his suit.

(Y/N) hummed to himself as him, Marc and Sable stepped through the city. It was quite unfortunate that he hadn't met with Clint yet, but it wasn't like he was missing anything. He had time to kill and decided to make a last minute call to grab his two comrades.

They had gotten a piece of information on a tie to Matthew Ellis. For the last year or two he had been a target of the team. After a failed set up planned by Ultron and Sable, the President himself had been guarded even heavier than prior.

There was hope that the informant knew a weak link in the chain that was the government. But throughout the journey, (Y/N) had known something the others didn't.

"Our informant is meeting us here? This is the middle of the city." Sable glanced around. Her eastern-european accent was very clear.

"I changed things. There was something about the original meeting location that didn't settle well with me." (Y/N) randomly fell into a humming laugh, cracking his neck and closing his slitted eyes for a moment.

They came to the end of the asphalt road, finding themselves in an almost deserted part of town. There were a few cars scattered around and buildings covered the sides of the street.

"Is this the place?" Marc asked in a monotone.

"Oh, yeah. But I can't help but be offended by our friends hiding." (Y/N) ran his tongue along the sharp teeth in his mouth. The area went silent. Not even the birds were audible. (Y/N) huffed, staring at a blue van ahead of them.

"It seems you didn't hear me. I knew you were blind, Murdock, but I didn't know you were deaf." He taunted, pulling down the mask from his mouth and nose and leaving it around his neck.

After a few seconds, Matt stepped out from behind the vehicle. His Daredevil suit reflected the sunlight and almost seemed to shine.

"You knew I was there." Matt said as a statement rather than a question.
