Warnings: Sadness because I'm having an EPISODE.

Relationship: Xisuma/Grian

~***~

The wind spread through his hair as he flew through the sky. His mind clouded with he thoughts of being, what he thought of himself, a burden. The clouds blinded him slightly while he flew directly into them.

In the distance, he spotted the lights of Xisuma's base and sighed. He flapped his wings a couple times as he floated safely onto the roof. He wiped the tear out of his left eye and sniffled as he walked quietly to the skylight that was above their bedroom. He spotted Xisuma taking off his helmet and rubbing the dust off with his pink sleeve.

I'm not good enough for him... He thought, then turned around and walked to the edge of the roof and sat down. He looked up at the sky and watched as the stars twinkled beside the light of the moon.

Xisuma's POV

I had just gotten home and was waiting for Grian. As I was taking off my helmet in our bedroom, I rubbed the dust off the visor with my sleeve and looked in the reflection. I saw what looked like Grian and I turned around and looked up into the skylight. I set my helmet onto the bed and opened the sky light.

As I climbed up, I saw Grian sitting on the edge of the roof. I could already tell that something was wrong and I sat quietly beside him.

"What's wrong Gri?" Xisuma nearly whispered, "What's plaguing you?"

Grian didn't answer immediately. He took a shaky breath before speaking, "Suma... I.. I don't wanna talk about it."

"Grian, please." Xisuma put his hand on top of Grian's and clutched it, "I'm here for you. Forever and always."

A moment of silence, "Am I a burden to you?"

"What? No, of coarse not. Where's this coming from?"

He pulled down the collar of his sweater, exposing his glowing Watcher mark, "This. Is there anything more to say?"

Xisuma didn't say anything. He only hugged Grian and put his chin on the blonde's head, "You're never a burden. Remember that."

Xisuma felt Grian clutch his shirt and heard him start to cry, "I gotcha. Don't worry, I won't let you go."
