Warnings: Terrible Jokes,

Relationship: Grian/Xisuma (Fatherly)

As he slept through the ends' starry permanent dark sky, the head Watcher walked into the room and hummed, kneeling to the boy and placing a mask upon his face.

"No more games, little Xel."

From that  moment, Grian's body twitched while nightmares flowed through his mind, never ending and unable to wake from them.

Xisuma was speaking with Mumbo when he heard a scream make its way through his ear drums. As he promptly covered them, Mumbo had asked him what was wrong, and after seeing tears in the other mans' eyes when he looked up, he knew something was wrong.

"I need to go."

"And where are you gonna go? We had plans!"

"Mumbo, our plans will have to wait." Xisuma groaned, opening up a map upon his wrist, "I need amethyst, obsidian, and a dark room. As well as to be left alone."

"Why...?"

"Grian needs help. I need you to tell our fighters. I'm gonna be busy down in my room."

Later that night as Xisuma looked deep into his sons mind, he worried as he couldn't find his subconscious, at least that was until he heard echoing footsteps nearby. He rushed towards them only to have Grian's subconscious appear in front of him, a cloak hanging loosely off one shoulder as he stopped dead in his tracks out of breath.

Xisuma took a single step forward only to have what he thought would be silent, very loud causing the kids subconscious to turn sharply with a worried look in his face.

"Grian... Are you-"

"You need to leave."

His voice was small, frightened, as if he knew there was someone, something, listening too.

"You're not safe here."

"Where are you? I can help!"

Grian violently shook his head, "He's listening."

"Grian, who's listening?"

"He has ears everywhere. It's not safe for you here."

An ear piercing scream wreaked it's way through the darkness of Grian's subconscious, forcing the two hermits to cover their ears.

"What... was that?!"

"He's here..."

The last thing before being shot out of the view that he heard and saw, was a skeleton looking wyvern shrieking.

When Xisuma opened his eyes, he was panting frightened from what he had just witnessed. Doc and Ren had beaten down his blocked door five seconds later.

"Xisuma what happened?" Doc asked, almost in a demanding tone, "We heard a scream."

"We don't have much time to save Grian. The longer we wait the more of him we lose. We need to find his location now."

"How are we able to find him?"

"He has to be in the Watcher castle. Where else would a Wyvern be?"

"They have a Wyvern?! I thought those were mythical, also you're nuts if you think we're gonna fight one of those."

"Yours will be roasting if you don't help me, so if you don't want your junk on fire get your ass in gear and get a portal set up!" Xisuma noticed the two hermits look at each other then took out flint and steel, "NOW."

"I don't negotiate with terrorists." Ren chuckled, "I'll get the others."

The  king Watcher led Grian to the Wyvern's nest and had left him there, awaiting his return with the Wyvern as his pet. Through the dragon's nest he could see the lightning striking its way through the end's dark abyss.

Hours later, the end's airs went silent, the lights within the castle. The king walked out the doors and saw his pawn standing unharmed,  the wyvern's tail surrounding the boy. When the king tried stepping towards the young Void Watcher, the Wyvern had sent a warning shot at him.

"So you've tamed the dragon and befriended him. Perfect, let him fly and attack the outsiders that have entered our world."

Grian looked at the beast, pointed to the Watcher. The Wyvern took off to the unspoken task, Grian walked with the Watcher. Though upon turning around, the king was met with angry hermits.

"Let the kid go, or perish."

"Tiny mortal, the only thing perishing would be you." The King looked at Grian, "Call the Wyvern, Xelqua, get rid of them."

Grian didn't move, just stared as the Watcher walked away from him, knocking him so hard it knocked the mask on his face to the ground, shattering on impact. Grian looked up after shaking his head, his blue and orange eyes mixed in with the watcher's purple as he looked at Xisuma, clearly confused on where he was.

"STRIKE THEM DOWN, XELQUA."

"Or..." Grian summoned the Wyvern back to him, "The Wyvern can strike you down and I can go home." He motioned for the flying beast to attack the king, "King... No king.. Nothing will change.

Farewell."
