"Where are we going? I still have several session of this webinar that I haven't watched," you whined as Jackson dragged you. He let you to bring your laptop and everything else you needed for your usual work though.
"Yeah yeah, don't worry, we're just going to the studio. You can watch your webinar while I try to do some work," his answer made you raised your eyebrow.
"Then what's the point? I can just stay at home while you do yours at the studio. That way I don't have to go all the trouble bringing all this stuff with me," you pouted as Jackson stuffed all your belongings to the back of the car before strapping your seatbelt on.
"Well, that way we will be in the same place even though we do our things separately. Don't you feel like looking at my face when you get bored of your lessons?" he wiggled his eyebrows and you couldn't help but laughed at his antique.
"Yeah, fine.. .as long as you didn't disturb me. They only let the live recording on for 24 hours before it disappeared, so I really have to finish watching it tonight," you warned him.
"Okay, I heard you," he raised his hands in surrender. "No funny business, I promise." With that, he drove away toward the studio.He did keep up his promise. He let you borrow one of his headphone so you could listen to your webinar without getting any distraction while he went on with whatever he was doing. After fifteen minutes or so, he tapped your shoulder so you took off the headphone.
"What's up?" you inquired.
"Nothing. I'll do a quick V-live here if you're okay with it. I promise you'll be completely out of the scene," he informed you and he let you see how he angled his phone so you were completely out of sight. You gave him your permission and you went back to your webinar.
You've just finished a session when you felt you needed a bit of a break. You were sitting on a couch on the back of the studio while Jackson was in front of the controller. You saw he propped his phone facing him but away from you. You felt the need to stretch for a bit, so you put aside your laptop, took off the headphones and stretched out. Jackson saw your movement but said nothing. He continued whatever he was doing. You listened him talking to the fans. He let them hear some of the group's previous song and he paused and made comments, on his own part. You almost choked out a laugh when you heard him diss himself. At that moment he saw you, but then he saw some requests, something about screen saver? He asked the viewer about it and they told him that they wanted to screenshot him for their screen saver so he told them that he would do three poses and they had to be quick. You saw them making cute faces and you couldn't help but surpressed the laugh, but it turned into a scoff. And it was rather loud. Jackson quickly covered it up and told them that it was the staff. Decided that it was enough fun for a break, you sat back down and picked up the laptop and got back to your webinar again. However, once you saw what Jackson was doing, you became easily distracted. Sometimes your eyes would shift up and saw him and he would be making cute faces. You were doomed. You couldn't concentrate back to whatever you were watching. You decided to pause and took off your headphones just in time when Jackson did his famous "I'm your energy!" At that time you couldn't help but laughing at him. You didn't care whether your voice got caught into his live or not. You just couldn't hold it any longer. He noticed you laughing and quickly covered it up by saying that the staff was laughing at him.
He shot you a teasing look, knowing well how you were completely distracted now. He announced that it was quite a long one already and he would end the live soon. As if it was a cue, you hurriedly got back to your laptop and tried to focus. You only had fifteen minutes left. You felt enough looking at all that blood and human tissue on your screen so that fifteen minutes would be the last of it. You took notes as quickly as possible and you almost yelled when you were finally finished. But you remembered where you were and quickly shuffled your mouth before any sound came out of your mouth. When you looked up though, you saw Jackson looking at you with amused look on his face. You made a gesture, asking him whether he has finished his live yet or not and he nodded, smiling back at you.
"Are you done? With the live, I mean," you asked in whispered voice, afraid that the live was still on.
"I'm done already," he informed with a big grin on his face. "So, which one is more interesting? Your webinar or my live?" he wiggled his eyebrows, totally teasing you and you couldn't deny that his live was more interesting than your webinar. "See.. it's not a bad idea right? We can finish our work but at the same time we can still see each other," he tried to make a point, but you wondered, where did you hear similar lines before?
"Wait, didn't you sound just like Jaebeom oppa just now?" you asked and he tried to remember. "The one when he picked Mark oppa as a date because he's quiet so he could work while they're on a date so both of them are satisfied with the arrangement?" you tried to make him remember and his face showed that he finally remembered it. "If I'm not mistaken, you're the one that say that it's not a date at all, and now you're the one that suggest the same idea for a date," you covered your mouth as you laughed at his pouty face.
"Yeah.. Yeah.. Keep on laughing," he shrugged, "That was before I knew that just by looking at your face, it will bring me more energy even though we're doing our own stuff. It was quite entertaning looking at your serious face, especially when you scrunch your nose when you concentrate in whatever you're looking at. Or when your expression changed when you're excited. Or when you looked amazed even though I doubt that whatever you're looking at is entertaining, with all that blood and stuff. And no, I can't see your screen. It's just, I can see it reflected on your eyes, all red and probably scary," he quickly added. However, you remembered his first few lines and it was effective in making your face blushed.
"So," he started to stand up, "Are you up for dinner yet or do you still have to watch your webinar?"
"Dinner," your stomach growled just in time to proof how starving you were and it made him laugh.
"Okay then, dinner it is," he extended his hand and you accepted it gladly.
"Actually, you're right, though it's not normal, but it's fun. Seeing you work and all," you said as you two walked to his car. "Especially when I get to see your famous tag line," you giggled. "Can you repeat it once more?" you batted your eyelash, hoping that he would fall for it.
"Uh uh," he shook his head, "I'm the one with puppy eyes, not you." He chuckled at your pouty face. "What do I get in return for doing that?" he challenged. "Can I get free 3 wishes?"
"Ugh.. Not that 3 wishes again," you groaned as you remembered his first 3 wishes back in the days and it didn't work in your favour. But after thinking awhile, you granted his request. "Okay fine, but I get to record it when you do it," you added and he agreed. Soon enough he repeated his gesture with his famous, "I'm your energy!" adding a wink at the end like cherry on top. You weren't sure if you recorded it correctly as you shook too much for laughing at his cheesiness, but you couldn't deny that he was right. It was comforting to be able to see him even though he was working, though you still wouldn't call that a date.
