You always wanted to go to Japan, especially to Tokyo. You didn't know why, but somehow you were attracted to that country. So, obviously, when you heard that your favorite idols were going to have a concert there, you decided to use your savings to buy their concert tickets. As well as the plane tickets and booked the hotel for a week. You still had your paid-leave days saved for emergencies, but you thought this was the right time to use them up. After all, it was near the end of the year, so you had to use it up anyway. What was the better way to use it up than to fly to Japan to see your idol and have a short getaway as well?

When your request was granted, you started to make plans. You listed all attractions that caught your eyes and pinned them on your maps. Then you listed all the food you wanted to try during your trip. Then you adjusted your plans according to your budget. You started to sort out where to stay and then made a solid plan based on that. Since you'd be seeing a concert for a day, you were short a day. You wanted to go to Disneyland and Disneysea, but you found out that their tickets were pretty expensive so you decided to just go to DisneySea this time. After all, it was the only one in the world, so you couldn't miss it for sure.

You started to measure the distance of the places that you wanted to visit from your hotel and whether it was reachable by trains or not. You also counted which one was cheaper, using the Passmo/Suica card or another pass. It was troublesome, of course, but you didn't have much money, so you had to be meticulous about it. Once you decided the places that you wanted to visit and counted the transportation cost, you checked places to eat near those attractions, especially if you could reach it by foot, then it would be great.

There was this one weird thing that you wanted to see, the busy Shibuya crossings. Yeah sure, it was just a crossing, but it didn't only have regular crossing across the street, but diagonally as well. And it was always crowded, even on weekdays. Another weird thing that you heard about Japan was how crowded it could be inside the subway that sometimes, there was an officer that used a rod to push everyone to go inside the train so the door could be closed. However, you also heard about perverts in situations like that one. That was why, all mobile phones in Japan were set up to always have a shutter voice everytime they used their camera to capture something.

You were glad that the list was finally finished just before your departure date. You were excited, yet anxious at the same time. This was your first solo trip, to a foreign country on top of that. Luckily, the flight was pretty smooth. A bit bumpy because of turbulence, but nothing major. You were confused when you arrived there. You were surprised to see that most signs were in Japanese. Luckily, there were some English signs at last and you managed to go through the immigration and collected your luggage. Getting to your hotel was another story. You knew that you could use the train to get to the city from the airport, but figuring out which platform and which train took more time. You had a hard time figuring out the number of platforms, how to reach it and make sure that it was the right train before you hopped on. Luckily, you managed to get on the right train after double-checking the names of the stations that the train would stop at both on the train information board as well as on your phone.

Since tomorrow you'd be watching the concert, you decided to take it easy today. You wanted to explore near your hotel area. After all, your hotel was in a strategic location and you could go anywhere from your hotel, so it was really convenient. You walked across the street and went up to a certain level of the building to get the view of the whole city. You could only go up to that level because it was free. Sure there were other places where you could see the view of the whole city, but usually you had to pay. Since you tried to save money while on your holiday, you decided to go to most places where you didn't have to pay. From there you walked a little bit until you could spot the Godzilla and took a picture of it. You felt tired so you bought some onigiri and enjoyed it at the park nearby. Unfortunately, when you were there, it wasn't the season for sakura. But it was still pretty. It was really relaxing to eat with such a view.
