I was in my room, meditating and purifying the mana in my core with Solaris resting over my lap, when I heard a knock on my door.

Sighing I get up, and open the door, while 'sheathing' Solaris.

Dad!

"Huh?"

Only to be stumble backwards as a small figure collided with me.

Looking down, I see a mess of black and red hair.

"Should you really be calling me that?" Chuckling, I reply.

He lets go and looks at me in confusion, "Why?"

"Because you have now reunited with your biological father." I explain.

"I don't see the problem."

...

"You know, sometimes I forget you're only 5 years old." I deadpan at him.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" He protested.

I chuckled at him.

Good to see you again, Zeke...

"Anyways, what have you been up to?"

"Oh, I have learned a lot of our history and am getting used to more of my abilities."

"....And here I am, getting ripped to pieces every day for the last 10 months."

"10? It has only been one." He asked.

...that's what you got from that sentence?

"For you, not for me I had to spend my time in a time dilation chamber."

"A what?"

"Basically time passes in the chamber a lot slower that out here. 10 times slower to be exact." I explained.

"That is something Valion shouldn't have done. The time dilation is harmful enough as it is, but such a large one, especially on a child would be extremely harmful." Sierra spoke.

"I mean, I haven't really experienced any side effects." I shrugged.

"Not even a headache?" She enquired.

"Nope, nothing. Was I supposed to?" I asked.

"Considering your age, yes." She replied

"Sierra, you know of my circumstances. Even if my body is of a child's, my mind is far from it." I looked at her straight in the eye.

She blinked in mild confusion before realizing what I was implying, "Oh. Yes, that could be the reason why you weren't affected."

"Anyways, what are you guys here for?" I asked.

"I just wanted to visit you. I don't know about Sie-I mean mother." Zeke shrugged.

Sierra looked a bit disheartened for an instant before she shook her head and spoke, "You are working on your core if I am not mistaken."

I nod.

She waves her hand in front of her face and summons a broken blue claw. (A single claw, not a set.)

I look at it with an eyebrow raised, confusion visible on my face.

"Absorb the mana from this, you will find it to be helpful in your meditation." She explained.

I take the claw piece from her hand, albeit a bit hesitantly, "Uh, thanks."

She chuckles, "No need to thank me little one, those claws were just sitting there and rotting anyways."
