Chapter 3, I Hate Sand

As my fall continued so did my screaming.

The ground was near, so near in fact I close my eyes and accepted my fate. Only to feel as if the ground swallow me whole.

I open my eyes and I was surrounded by sand as I continued to fall. My body was touching the sand alright but it seems as if I'm slowing down as I descend.

Seconds later I stop feeling force of me falling and now I was just lying down on the sand deep inside a hole my fall made.

The sand then slowly ascends upwards, carrying me with it like an elevator until I reach surface and was met once again by the intense shine of the sun.

What... The... Hell...

I'm pretty sure that's not how physics work, especially aided with all that magical sand stuff.

The sudden impact of a piece of the labyrinth crashing down in front of me snapped me back to reality. [Mind Acceleration] passively activates and I quickly and accurately move far... Far away whilst dodging falling debris along the way.

Whilst doing so I realized that most of the frozen debris turned into steam as soon as they touch the sand.

This is getting weirder and weirder by the minute.

After getting out of the range of the falling debris I can finally take a clear look at the sky above and see the huge hole I fell from. The hole wasn't a rift or anything, just a huge hole made of pile upon piles of dark blue material.

Where's the rest of the labyrinth?

That hole isn't a portal nor a rift because I didn't feel anything when I fell through it like my hand would feel a weird bit of presure when it enters [Storage Rift].

The last of the debris finally fell down and the huge hole went full Transformers and shrink into nothing.

Wait... I'm not stuck here am I?

🔶

The sun was at its highest and I still found nothing.

Not even a hiny of hope to get back into the labyrinth.

To make it worse, I can't ask the system where I am nor why am I even dropped here in the first place. I can still activate status and get updates on my stats like how much HP I have left. But other than that the system seems like steam on offline mod.

Well, there's no use staying here in the middle of nowhere.

I look around and saw nothing but desert sand and a crazy looking mountain.

The top of it seem to have been blown off into a huge hole but some pieces of it seem to float around it.

It was as of gravity didn't exist at all there.
