Chapter 48: Eclipse of the Moon

January 2070

The mist was so thick there was no way to see through it. But there was something moving with incredible speed inside it.

Two invisible shadows.

Fast steps.

Chaotic screams and yelling were heard from the military officers.

Commands were heard from inside the mist. The soldiers were blinded not knowing what was happening to them.

One after another the voices were silenced.

Red String and Red Alert stayed still.

There was an urge to move. To act.

But they as well trusted in what Jungkook and Taehyung were doing right now.

Namjoon sighed. He told them to chill...

Right after he gritted his teeth. The situation was hard. They were stuck being arrested right away or being arrested just after going back to Seoul.

'Appa... hope you have some ideas?' he heard in the mindlink Taehyung's voice.

'I do...' he sighed heavily. 'But you won't like it...'

'We will see. For now we have to get out of here.'

'I sent the helicopter away. There was too much risk they would shoot it down. We have to hide it for some time...'

'MOI's cars were on the way either way.' Minji added.

'What are you two doing?' Jin asked, feeling the shadow passing near him.

'Giving us time to come up with a solution...' Taehyung answered.

Right after his words the mist suddenly dispersed as if it wasn't even there to begin with. 

Red String and Red Alert turned to see Taehyung and Jungkook standing in the middle of the dam, breathing with difficulty from running in the wet, frozen clothes.

No matter how powerful their souls were, and how much they could use their power to protect themselves, they still had human bodies.

Bodies which were in freezing water for too long. 

Jin ran to them, but the rest were still staring at the soldiers, who looked as if they were in a paralyzed frozen state. Still pointing guns at them but not moving. Having open eyes, breathing, they looked like human statues.

'What is this?' Minji asked.

'Sleeping loop.' Jungkook replied. 'I usually don't use mind powers, but sometimes it's useful...' he shrugged.

'Useful?!' Dami snorted. 'More like fucking awsome!'

'What does that mean?' Soobin asked, frowning.

Jin's bandages were embracing Jungkook's and Taehyung's hands.

'I will raise the temperature of your bodies...' he mumbled. 'Idiots! Are you trying to get hypothermia?!'

'Using the whole hydrogenic map of the whole country wasn't easy uncle...' Jungkook whined, while Taehyung looked at Soobin and explained:

'It means they see the last three minutes of what happened in a loop. They still think they have us under gun and control the situation...'

'Smart move...' Namjoon noded.

Taehyung rolled his eyes.

'No matter how I look at it, we are in deep shit. We could have just get away from here, but they will start to hunt us.'
