20th of April 2067, 180 days since the outbreak of war

Since the moment the Iron Wall appeared Daegu has become even more under attack. But it didn't affect them as much. The soldiers couldn't enter the city. Every non-Interdependent citizen, who were caught in a fight or attack were immediately expelled outside the city.

ISA's agents were now going behind the wall to help the neighboring villages and cities in North Gyeongsang, where the horrid fights were taking place, as the soldiers were sent to prevent, Interdepenedents' influence spread even more.

Interdependents from the whole country and those who managed to come from abroad were treated and trained by ISA.

13 thousands of them, the half of Interdependents' population were already joining hands with ISA under 3EO's supervision.

Soulmates that were willing to fight were gladly welcomed. As well as the Sealers and Holders... who were willing to... give their powers to ISA.

When Yoongi saw it for the first time... he was enraged. He grabbed the first person he saw in ISA's underground headquarters - Taeil - and pushed him to the wall.

'What is the meaning of it?!' he growled.

'We need power to fight... What do you expect us to do!?'

'I expect you not to use the fucking Taboo!'

'26 thousands of Interdependents...' Taeil said quietly. 'Most of them are not even able to use their powers. How can we stand against all those terrorist, army and people that hate us? Do you want us to go there with guns and bombs, as they are doing? It will cause even more victims...'

'Have you done it?' Yoongi gulped.

Taeil looked at him with broken, sad eyes.

'There are few Sealers that convince us to use them... Some of the ones that lost their soulmates mainly... They are in the state that they don't care anymore. They cannot be broken more than they already are... And the ones that haven't met their soulmates yet... They just want to help... But we still are looking for their soulmates...'

'You mean the registration?'

'Yeah. Anyone who registered in 3EO's database and put the picture of their mark can quicker find their soulmate...'

'Did you?' Yoongi asked.

'No. Most of them didn't. Red String of Fate makes you meet your soulmate at the right time. And most of interdependants hardly believe so. They don't want to force fate... So we have a database of Interdependents but mostly without their marks.'

Yoongi did exactly that. He and Gahyeon. They were in the database with basic information, but without any pictures.

And he absolutely didn't want Chim to find him like that and come to him...

'How are you holding?' Yoongi asked, looking at his cousin from head to toe.

'I'm... The Taboo is...' Taeil shook his head. 'It's breaking a bit of you...' he whispered.

'Then why are you doing this?' Yoongi frowned.

'Because my father can't be everywhere. Because others are willing to fight and I won't just stand and watch...'

Yoongi understood. But honestly... if he had to choose between staining himself with blood, killing people, and staining himself by abusing someone's soul, forcefully taking out something that didn't belong to him...

Both things were hurting his soul. But he chose the first one.

'What is uncle and Inho-ssi planning?' Yoongi asked.
