Unknown POV

Scanning the field, you could quickly see the humans. Their arrogance stood out as they joined fairy ranks. If it wasn't for the threat to their homes and lives, the fae might have slaughtered them where they stood regardless of their Queen's wishes. Light or Dark, Fae have never had much love for humans. They're all the same - greedy, oath-breaking, self-serving creatures who take and expect everyone to fall to their knees worshiping them.

The two at the eastern wall stank of elven blood tainted with humanity. The Aos Sí was going to be a formidable opponent. His ability to spot the almost invisible ghouls could cause problems. He'd need to be eliminated quickly. Looking at the trio at the west wall, I grumbled to myself - of all the times for that damn Holly King to return, and worst of all, he seemed to be deeply involved with the humans. I noticed he had a fondness for one in particular. I scoffed, his weakness was right before me.

The creature next to them surprised me. He looked human, but his aura was very clearly not. Without breaking a sweat, he commanded brambles to launch at the serpent, his whole body was a weapon. Does he realize what he is, I wondered. For a moment his gaze turned in my direction as if he could almost see through my magical barrier. I stood still, waiting for his next move, but his attention was quickly drawn back to the Oilliphéist. I will need to consult the Oracle about him. If he could be swayed, we would be unstoppable, if not, then he needed to be contained.

I quickly located the other members of their group. I recognized a few but noticed she and the Merlin were not anywhere to be seen. At the front of the charge were the other husband and her best friend. I scanned the field for resources. Taking down both of them would devastate her, thus giving us the upper hand. "Have the others arrived?"

"They're close. I've been told their arrival will be announced. They've already chosen their first targets. You should receive the information shortly."

I nodded my head, awaiting the vision. My mind flooded with sights as I heard the ear-shattering wail of the Banshee fill the battlefield. Even the bravest on both sides visibly quivered at that ghastly cry. No one could escape its call - Death had arrived.

I chuckled to myself. Oh, how they will crumble when true death finds the ones they love. A crack in the wall is all I need to bring them all to their knees, which of course is where they all should be - kneeling before me.
