Nate's POV

Well, this has to have been the craziest six months of my life. You'd think things would settle down after a battle and Nimue giving birth to the twins, but no. When we got a moment to breathe, Kota politely reminded all of us that our family back in Charleston had no idea what we were doing and what was really going on. He was thoroughly convinced his mama was going to kill all of us for keeping her in the dark about Nimue and the babies. Speaking of babies...Aisling and Declan were proving to be just like their fathers - a handful. Declan clamored for attention non-stop. He would cry and scream until someone, usually, Nimue or North, held him. Aisling on the other hand was almost eerily quiet. She reminded me of the baby from Twilight with her ability to give visions when she touched you. One moment you were snuggling with her, the next, she was filling your mind with a technicolor image that left you dizzy. Arawn had visited once when she'd apparently sent him a vision. Declan had stolen her rattle and she got angry and called out to the King of Hell, who came raging in thinking his beloved had been really injured. If the look on his face when he realized what she'd done was any indication of their future together, the guy needed all the help he could get. He'd held her and she had giggled wildly at his frustration. Oh, yeah, he's in trouble for sure.

Right now, we are all standing at Heathrow airport waiting for the plane to land with Erica, Jess, Uncle, and Phil. Of course, Uncle and Phil already know about Nimue and Avalon, but none of them know about what else had happened since we left Charleston after her kidnapping. We might have neglected to tell any of them about that. Yeah, Kota might be right to be worried - Erica really is going to kill us.

"I don't understand what all the secrecy is about," Erica was complaining to Jessica when she saw us. "Kota!" she yelled.

He ran towards them, grabbing her in his arms and hugging her before turning to Jess and grabbing her as well. "I've missed you both so much!"

Erica pulled back and cupped his face, "You look so grown up," she muttered and scanned the group, "You all do. What has happened?"

Luke took a step forward, Gabe and Nimue by his side each holding a tiny bundle, "Well, a few things have changed since you saw us last. Mama, may I introduce my wife, Nimue, and my husband who you already know, Gabe. And these are our children, Aisling and Declan."

Erica's eyes were wide as she sputtered, "Wife, husband, and children? Lucian Taylor what on earth?" She looked Nimue up and down and then asked, "Why didn't I get invited?"

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lee, it was a private ceremony at my home. Actually, no one was there except us, but if you will allow me, I'd like to invite all of you back to our home now. So much has happened, and we want you to be a part of it all," Nimue said softly.

"She's so sweet," Erica said to Jessica who rolled her eyes and smiled. "Well, lead the way."

Phil came up next to me as Uncle when to walk with North. "So has the matter of her aunt been resolved?"

I shook my head, "Sadly, not entirely. She escaped after the last battle with Mara, but there have been a few new developments. Let's wait until we reach Avalon to let everyone know at once."

Phil stopped in his tracks and sputtered, "Wait, we're going to Avalon? But, but I thought they lived in London?"

I couldn't stop the grin that broke across my face, "We all live in Avalon now, Phil. Like I said, a lot has changed." My magic slipped a bit as he studied me then gasped.

"It's you." I just gave him a cheeky grin and nodded then began following the group once again.
