Sean's POV

"What happened?" Nimue mumbled as her eyes slowly opened.

"You passed out and scared the fucking hell out of us, Snow!" Gabe announced.

She bolted upright, "Corey!"

I pulled her against me, "Shh, sugar, Brandon and some of the guys went to check on him and Raven. I'm sure it will be fine. You just need to take a minute to rest." She gave me a doubtful look and at the same moment, there was an explosion outside that shook the walls.

"What the fuck now?" Gabe moaned.

"Two guesses and the first doesn't count," Luke growled as he surveyed the area outside the windows. The grounds were littered with creatures as Jerron quickly shifted and began to circle the grove, picking off pookas. I saw Victor and Jax appear entering the battle as well. Before we could get outside, several dearg due and goblin-like creatures had entered the great hall.

Delilah came striding in behind them, "Well, well, isn't this cozy," she sneered. "I finally get to meet my great niece and great nephew."

"Stay the hell away from my children," Nimue yelled then turned to Arawn. They held a silent conversation as she handed Aisling to him, and Luke handed him Declan. The god nodded and vanished with them in his arms. Nimue turned back to face her aunt as Owen and I moved to flank her along with Luke and Gabe. "I think it's time we finish this, don't you Delilah?" Nimue's voice was low and filled with rage. It was as if a sudden wind filled the hall as she started towards the woman. "I am so sick and tired of dealing with you and your petty jealousy. You have no idea what it means to serve Avalon. It isn't about you being the center of attention, dear aunt. It's about sacrifice and devotion - something you know nothing about.

I could feel our magic filling the room as the sounds of battle grew louder outside. Corey's howls let us know the others had returned. The doors flew open, but instead of our husbands, Balor charged in, waving his hands with a look of fear on his face. Delilah was too focused on Nimue to even notice him. She stalked closer with a wicked smirk on her face.

"You say I know nothing of sacrifice or devotion, but it is you that knows nothing. I spent years serving this damned Isle only to be passed over for your mother. I gave my only child to the grove long before his time in the name of the Goddess, and what did I get in return? My womb was stricken bare, my husband and child dead, and all the while my sister got everything - you got everything!" She was screaming, her eyes a vision of madness. "Now, I have real power, dear niece - power you cannot stand against and I will have my revenge, but let's keep this just between us girls, shall we?" Delilah outstretched her hand and suddenly we were all in the grove while Nimue was still inside with only Balor and her aunt. No matter how hard we tried, we couldn't teleport in, so we began to run, trying to get back to her as fast as we could.

"What the fuck just happened?" Gabe swore as he tried to break down the door. "She's never had that kind of fucking magic?"

"Where's Doe?" Marc demanded as he and Brandon approached. I frowned when I saw the damage to Brandon's shoulder.

"Delilah threw us all out magically and we can't get inside," Luke grumbled, blasting at the door. I started trying to heal Brandon's shoulder as the rest surrounded the hall trying to get in or at least see inside the room.
