"After spending a considerable amount of my valuable sleeping time looking over all your agency analysis I could find nothing wrong with them. Ojiro - your group could have been more detailed but it was acceptable. Everyone else was fine. Each group analyzed a different list of agencies. I've made enough copies of all of them so that all of you will have an analysis for every agency within six hours of travel from us here at UA. You will have one week to read through all of the information and make a very important decision. Your goal will be to choose which agencies would be the best match for what you want to do as a Pro now that you've had a taste of what it's really like. All the agencies included in this project have agreed to take on up to two part-time interns starting in third term through the rest of the year. If it goes well you will remain with the same agency next year. You will spend every Wednesday at the agency you choose but be sure to have a backup choice as class 1B will also be participating. Moving forward Mondays and Tuesdays will be strictly for hero classes while Thursdays and Fridays will be for traditional classes. In year three you will be completing your full time work study three days a week so this will prepare you for that. This is not typically how the school does these internships but then your class is unique in terms of experience. You are all magnets for the League and need to get yourselves prepared earlier than other years have in the past. Because of that the school is starting the part-time internships one term early." A subtle look passed to the so-called 'Wonder Duo' did not go unnoticed by anyone.
"Midnight will be supervising your selections, however she will not be helping you make your choices. She is only checking to ensure no agency is assigned more than two students since there will be forty of you between the combined classes. Use these forms to list your selections. Afternoon classes today will be all core subjects. Once selections are finalized next week you will have an introduction to your assigned agency reps. If your agency is further than a one hour ride on the bullet train you will be coordinating between your rep and Pro Hero Aperture. His quirk can create portals between two locations over certain distances and he has agreed to help the school with transporting students to the further away locations. If you are portaling you will have designated departure and arrival locations both here on campus as well as at the agency you will be traveling to that will be determined by your coordinator. Everyone else will take the train. Each week you will submit a summary of what skills you learned or practiced during your duty day. If the agency you are assigned to has two students you will write a joint report and share the grade. Pro Heros have to complete paperwork every time they do any kind of Hero work so the government can establish how much to pay them. This will be practice for that as well as how to act like a Pro." After passing out the forms Eraser Head re-entered his yellow cocoon. Maybe one day he will be a beautiful butterfly? OR would he be a moth?
Yeh. Definitely a moth.
Bakugo turned in his seat to see his childhood friend already mumbling about the aspects of different agencies. His face was practically merging with the paper in his hand.
Shocking.
"Earth to planet Deku?" Words seeming to have no effect on the very focused teen, class 1A's Blasty pinched the other boy's freckled cheeks (harshly) gently. That did the trick. "You're scaring the natives."
Rubbing his punished flesh the greenette did his best to glare at his long time acquaintance. "That hurt Kacchan!"
"Hah?! You LITERALLY break your bones on the daily and a little pinch is too much for you? How soft can you be, Dumbass?" Standing up and turning to straddle his chair in reverse, the crimson-eyed male leaned on his partner's desk. He couldn't help but smirk at the other's pouting face.
The two then began working together to review the analysis reports compiled by the whole class. It wasn't a completely unknown scenario these days to see the two being amicable together, but it was still a little odd to most of the room's occupants. Knowing how much the emerald-eyed teen was in his element and how deceptively studious the blonde is, several of what Katsuki would call 'Extras' came over to get the pair's opinions.
A week later everyone had made their selections and was ready to submit their choices for review. Yaoyorozu collected all the forms and handed them over to the scandalously dressed teacher who had only moments earlier entered the room. Before taking the small pile from the creation quirk user, Midnight poked the yellow bundle at the front of the room with her whip and smirked at the complete lack of response. Seems Eraserhead was well and truly asleep. Turning to the room her smile was anything but innocent. "Anyone want to see what he'd look like with no beard?"
The audible gulp heard from Ida was priceless.
The following day, everyone returned from lunch to find a list written neatly on the board. Noticing this, Ida quickly took charge and ushered his classmates to their desks. Once everyone was settled the class rep began to go over the list of final agency assignments. "Please listen carefully to your agency and partner if you have one." But, before Ida could start reading out the assignments, class 1B opened the door. It was then that everyone noticed the names of the other Hero course students were listed on the board as well.
"Well well well. Look what we have here. The famous class 1A. Guess you all think we should be grateful to work with you for these internships, huh? Well you can forget that! You all aren't any bett-" Kendo's chop was as effective as ever in silencing the jealous verbal rampage of her now unconscious classmate.
"That's enough out of you Monama. As always guys, sorry about him. You'd think he would learn by now." Bowing to the room the orange haired unofficial babysitter of class 1B's problem child sighed.
"Thank you Kendo. Welcome. Please, everyone have a seat so we can go over the assignments." Right back to business. That's Ida for you. "Midoriya and Bakugo, you will be at Might Tower so you will be working with Aperture. Sato and Ojiro you are at the Mt. Agency so you'll be taking the train. Jiro and Kaminari will also work with Aperture and the Ryukyu Agency. Todoroki and Yaoyorozu will be at the Endeavor agency and work with Aperture. Asui and Sero, you will be taking the train to the Oki Mariner. Hagakure and Shoji will also take the train and are assigned to the Purple Revolution Agency. Uraraka will be taking the train and working at the Gunhead agency. Ashido will be using the train and working alone at Uwamani Productions. I will be working with Aperture to get to the Ingenium offices. The rest of the class will be working with someone from 1B. Kirishima You are with Tetsutetsu at Fourth kind agency so it's the train for you. Mineta, you are to be with Kendo and Tokoyami at the Hawks Agency so -"
"Mind if I read off the rest of the list from here?" Kendo's sweet smile was met with the adjustment of glasses and a small bow. As she read through the rest of the assignments, the girls were grateful it was she who would be partnered with Minoru. Itsuka could handle him no sweat if she dealt with Monama every day. After all, she hadn't 'accidentally' killed him. Yet.
Everyone seemed pleased with their assignments as they began to chat amongst themselves, especially since most would be with another student from their own class. Only five students from each class were paired with someone from the other, most of which were friends already. Additionally, three members of each class would be completing their internships alone and those who were solo were fine with that.
The rest of the afternoon consisted mostly of Mr. Aizawa explaining the expectations UA had for all of the students when they were away from campus. They were the pride of the school after all, so their representation would be important. After that particular (threatening) riveting speech Mr. Sekijiro went over the logistics of everyone's transportation. Once class 1B returned to their room, class 1A began finalizing planks and arrangements for the upcoming Winter Festival. There were only two weeks left in the second term which means they only had ten days left until the event. Next Wednesday they would meet with their agency coordinator so now was the best time to make final preparations.
They worked until well after usual school hours and by the time they were done almost everyone was mentally exhausted and ready to just crash back in Heights Alliance. Some even planned to hit the sheets at the same time as the 'old man' in their midst.
