"Now, when we get there we'll split up. So check your communicators." The light atmosphere amongst the 'Wonder Duo' and their supervisor began to dissipate as each quickly assumed a more 'business mode' persona. Another trait that Izuku found admirable about the snow quirk Pro. She could effortlessly switch from fun and easygoing to hardcore in moments, making her a great liaison to the public as well as a very effective fighter.

Two minutes later found the trio at the shipping docs and splitting up in different directions to scout around. They weren't going for stealth but rather a sense of 'business as usual'. Their goal was to just not look out of place. It was very normal for patrols to pass through the area and their job was to NOT raise suspicions by altering that. Their orders were clear: see what you see and report back. No engaging for Dynamight and no investigating for Deku leaving both deflated at the assignment but everyone knew each would fulfill their duties to the utmost level of competency. If not overly enthusiastically.

It may have only been about four months since the pair started their internships but they already had a solid reputation at All Might Tower for following their roles to the letter and never being late with their paperwork. All Might himself had assured those at his agency of both teen's diligence before they arrived on their first day but it was a hard sell after seeing footage of Bakugo at the sports festival. Doubts that were crushed in just the second week when the blonde submitted not only his own daily reports but those of his partner and trainer while the other two were completing a debriefing.

The dedication of the prickly youth impressed many and while he still had his metaphorical comfort blanket of anger they started to see why his freckled friend was so loyal. Despite some of the things said to him or jeering made at his expense by the ruby-eyed teen the greenette would always defend his partner and the reverse was true as well.

No one with self preservation skills would dare to speak ill of the freckled boy for free of it getting back to his unofficial bodyguard. Not that Izuku couldn't defend himself just fine.

After walking her pre-agreed upon path for about twenty minutes and seeing nothing out of the ordinary anywhere in the surrounding area, Flurry clicked her earpiece and called to check on her (minions) interns. Deku quickly responded with a brief summary of his own designated area. The curly haired teen had also not seen anything noteworthy enough to report but when he was done talking there was only silence. Dynamight was not responding. Knowing the curly haired youth would have noticed the lack of feedback from his partner, the blue-eyed Pro made her way towards Katsuki's assigned section finding that the smaller male was indeed already headed in the same direction.

Seeing his coordinator approach, the smaller half of the 'Wonder Dup' quickly reported in with his worrisome thoughts. "Kacchan isn't answering on our private channel either." Concern was hard to mask as Midoriya scanned around for his friend and found no sign of the larger than life teen. Without words, the two now began following the path the missing youth should have been traveling on.

After rounding the corner of the marina office they saw the focus of their unexpected search crouched down beside a pleasure craft tied to one of the boat slips. Relief followed by frustration passed over the secretly protective female as she took a step towards her missing ward only to be stopped by the other boy beside her. Confusion washed over her as she looked down to her Green Bean. However, clarity and focus were swift to return when she saw him gesture with a finger over his lips for them to stay quiet. Quickly the greenette pulled her back behind the building and out of sight before whispering.

"If Kacchan is ok but not answering, then he doesn't think he can talk without giving himself away. He must have seen something over there." Knowing his partner so well was truly a benefit in situations like this. Nodding, the tall Pro clicked her earpiece before addressing the blonde.

"Dynamight, if you can hear me click your communicator." A soft click sounded in both Flurry's and Deku's ears.

"OK. We assume you found something and don't want to compromise your position but I need to know what you found so click once for yes and twice for no." Another single soft click.

"Do you see the suspected smugglers right now?" One click.

"Do you know how many there are?" Two clicks.

"Can you tell where they are storing the merchandise?" Two clicks.

"Have any of them shown their quirks so we can assess their strengths?" One click.

"That's good. I will call for backup and when they get here we can move in so you just keep an eye out until then." Two clicks.

"This isn't a game kid, you wait for the Pros." Two clicks.

"You listen to me you little shit you-"

"Kacchan, do you think the smugglers have spotted you?" One click. Izuku felt bad interrupting his boss but knew his boyfriend would never disobey a direct command without a good reason. If the Villains knew he was there but they weren't attacking that can only mean they were planning something for the explosive teen. And it wouldn't be a birthday party.

"Damnit. Okay. I don't know if you know this about yourself kid but you're rather recognizable. Do you think they know WHO you are?" Two clicks.

"That's good. If they don't recognize you then they don't know your quirk. I'm calling it in and then Deku and I will come to you. Whatever they are planning we'll catch them by surprise. You two can engage but make sure to avoid destroying anything that might be evidence. Stick to defense as much as possible till the others arrive with the police. You step out of line on me and I'll freeze your ass, got it?" One click.

After a nod to the teen currently covered in viridian lightning beside her the pair emerged. The two ran towards the ruby-eyed youth. Katsuki was still next to the same boat but was shooting small explosions towards the unknown Villains. Villains who were concealed behind a large stack of crates.

Once all three were together Bakugo ignored the look of disapproval on his (pain in the ass boss's) Flurry's face and quickly shared what he knew while all three fended off what looked like ink blobs being hurled at them.

"There's at least 3 of them but there could be more onboard the boat. I don't know. I saw them take shit off the boat and onto the dock but I don't know where they took it from there. I couldn't make out where they went before I was spotted. There were a lot of boxes so it has to be what we're looking for. They must have spotted me when I moved closer to try and see where they were moving the pallets to." The frustration rolling off of the blonde was palpable.

"We need to hold them until the others get here and prevent them from escaping or destroying the boxes. Dynamight you take the right and try to get rid of their cover. I'll try to trap as many as I can in place from there with my hardened snow. Deku you watch for anyone coming in from the sides that we can't see yet." A grunt and a nod showed understanding as all three took action all at once..

It wasn't a particularly long fight, nor was it pressingly difficult but it WAS rather annoying. There turned out to be a total of six Villains in the smuggling ring found on the docs. Luckily for the Heros it seemed both the suppliers and buyers were present and they were able to overcome all the Villain's quirks. One man had a quirk that allowed him to shoot balls of impossibly sticky tar from his mouth, which was truly gross. There was a woman who could stretch her body like she was made of rubber. Another man seemed to be able to manipulate water and a rather young woman who had the abilities of a rhinoceros making her very tough but easy to avoid with her poor eyesight. The fifth man could make blinding flashes of light with his hands but the last suspect's quirk was unknown. It appeared as though he used it during his skirmish against the 'Wonder Duo' while Flurry was securing the evidence but no one noticed any effects on the pair. They felt an impact when the short balding man yelled at them as if they were hit with a strong wind but nothing more.

That was, until the debriefing an hour later.

You see, the two teens knew each other so well they rarely relied on verbal communication during a battle or even while training unless they were in a taunting or playful mood. This having been a quite serious situation, they were fully concentrated on the battle and only their blue-haired leader gave orders while they followed them silently. Hence it was not until they stood at the end of the conference table in the briefing room to begin answering questions that anyone discovered the effects of the final suspects' rather unusual quirk.
