Daisuke could barely contain a fit of laughter after hearing his former intern's chosen professional moniker. An elbow to the ribs from his equally amused but far more composed twin had him apologizing to the room, though no one really blamed him. Much like the blonde explosion quirk user himself, the name was a bit over the top.
"Actually, I was hoping to stay with Jeanist Office for a while." Looking over to the tall primly put together Pro barely visible behind his comically tall collar, Katsuki waited for any kind of sign from the man that he would be welcome. Lucky for his impatient nature he wasn't made to wait for long.
"While this is indeed something unexpected it is not in any way unwelcome. When I first offered my services to mentor Bakugo it was in hopes of bringing out the refined Hero I felt might be hiding within. I will respectfully admit I was disappointed he did not show interest in continuing with us in his second year but I have seen great things with him in the last many months." Signaling his subordinates with a silent nod, Best Jeanist acknowledged the look of relief in red eyes.
"Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight is capable and a quick learner. I would say he is still a little ruff around the edges but overall he is a good fit for the agency Sir." Emiko's somewhat soft yet commanding voice was always a little unnerving to the blonde who had grown more accustomed to her far less cordial interactions with her mirror image. The fact that she chose to address him via his full title was a dig and he knew it. Dai was turning blue from holding in his laughter from the shade thrown at his Cutie, but everyone managed to ignore him well enough. Though, unbeknownst to the twins, said target of their combined levity was already planning his revenge.
"Wonderful! It seems both of you will have a job waiting for you after you pass your professional exams two weeks from now. So, this leads us to a lingering inquiry that has yet to be addressed. Prior to Mr. Midoriya's unfortunate encounter with the Darkside Villain, you had both expressed a desire to debut as a Hero Pair. If you would, please tell us your thoughts on this idea before we finalize anything moving forward." Sipping from his ever-present and mysteriously appearing tea cup, Nezu patiently waited for the boys to speak.
What exactly is in that cup anyway? Katsuki had his doubts about it actually being tea but didn't really care enough to try and figure it out. Besides, there may or may not be a secret student club devoted to answering that very question so he might as well leave it to them. He only knew about the group because he once unknowingly interfered with Mina trying to get answers for them. That was a day that would forever remain engraved in his mind. Some things could never be unseen, or unheard. Only an idiot would make that particular mistake twice.
Both soon-to-be graduates had taken it upon themselves to advance far past beginners signals since finishing their language class; a fact that came in handy at times like this. Utilizing some of their now quite advanced sign language skills the 'Wonder Duo' had a quick silent consult. They needed to plan out exactly what to say about their partnership to the room full of their superiors. The two had talked extensively over the last week about what their plans would be moving forward but they had not discussed how much of that plan to share with their families or the group of gathered Heros.
It took only a few minutes for an agreement to be reached as the room looked on. Smiling to one another they turned to face their bored looking teacher and mischievous Principle. "We'd like to take a few years to establish ourselves and build up our skills before the possibility of joining up. We would like to open our own joint agency one day when the time is right. We don't want to be ungrateful to Might Tower or Jeanist Office but-"
"There is no need for explanation young Midoriya. Most great Heros break out on their own in time so it's quite a natural thing to consider. I can not speak for Mr. Hakamada but I can speak for myself and Specter when I say: We are happy to help you along your journey towards becoming the top pair if that is what you choose." The somewhat hollow looking retired Pro gave his not-so-secret favorite students two thumbs up earning a chuckle from Flurry and a poignant adjustment of glasses from Specter.
"I agree with All Might. It is natural to want to strive for more and I for one will not hold you back from that. Flourish and be the gentlemen I know you can be."
Dai earned himself another elbow to the gut as he strived to suppress a near cackle. Again. He was definitely going to need the healer for the bruises he was earning from Emiko today.
After another twenty minutes of discussing the specifics regarding the boy's official placement as full time Heros the group dispersed. The pair promised to fill in their parents after the meeting so they remained behind in the empty conference room to do exactly that. They began with Izuku's father hoping the man would be with his wife when they called and as luck would have it he was.
"So you two plan to debut separately and build up your reputations and experience before striking out on your own?"
"Yes sir. Do you think it's a bad idea?" Dragon Fire was a Hero whose opinion both boys deeply respected. It wasn't as if the opinions of their teachers, agencies, and idol didn't matter but if the intimidating international Hero thought their plan was good it would belay all their combined hesitations. More so the older teen than the younger, they needed the fearsome Hero's validation.
"Sounds to me like you both thought this out thoroughly. I think you have made an excellent decision. We are proud of you both." The sound of Inko agreeing in the background brought soft smiles to the boy's faces before they said their goodbyes and called the Bakugos.
The conversation with the blonde's fiery mother and calm father went similarly to the previous one only with parental roles predictably reversed. Walking back to Height's Alliance hand in hand the soon-to-be graduates confided in one another their concerns.
"What if some hot chick or some fuck boy gets you all weak in the knees trying to show the next Symbol of Peace how grateful they are to be rescued by your adorable ass?" Though Bakugo's concern was only half genuine and his words as crass as ever, there was something about the way he was looking straight ahead as he spoke. It was as if he were talking to himself rather than the greenette pulling him to a stop.
Stepping to block the older but now barely shorted youth's path, Deku raised his hands to hold a handsome face as he replied. "Stop. No one is going to take me away from you. You hear me? Besides, I have no plans on hiding that I have somebody. So if anyone tries to get with me, I'll just tell them the truth: Sorry, I already have an amazing boyfriend that I am deeply in love with."
Leaning in, the two shared a small reassuring kiss before the now slightly embarrassed Katsuki spoke up again, this time with an impish smirk. "Some fuckers can be pretty persuasive Bunny. Assholes can be relentless if they're determined enough. What're you gonna do when you get yourself some shitty stalker trying to get you to dick them down?"
"Easy, I'll show them a video of the feral gremlin that is my Beloved Princess." With a few quick taps on his phone, Izuku held a hidden photo file filled with images of Katsuki yelling at their classmates. There was also a video of him winning the sport festival in their first year and even one of him sparing with Flurry where the two were in business wear after a protection detail early last year.
"You have a damn file filled with pictures of me being pissed?"
"Yep."
"That's cringe Deku." Shrugging his shoulders as if not phased at all, the greenette pocked the device before the two resumed their walk. They had to finish packing up their bigger items so they could be sent off to new apartments near their soon-to-be agencies. There was mandatory training in the evening to go over the probable parts of the professional hero test, so packing needed to be done before then. As they walked, Izuku tried to keep his smile in check at a realization he had while showing his counterpart his phone but failed. "The fuck are you smiling at like that dumbass?"
"Just happy to be with you." He didn't say anything about me calling him Princes earlier. The first time I said it he flipped out as expected, so why not now? I wonder if he doesn't kind of like it? That would be weird, right? Or maybe not? I'll have to test it out and try it again. Turning to look at the unaware youth's profile, the smile on UA's Broccoli Lord's face became slightly darker. Tonight. I'll try it then. When I have him pinned to my bed and moaning.
