The following morning a harsh knocking at his door roused Deku from a rather spicy dream starring himself and his buff boyfriend and little else. Jolting out of bed he grabbed his phone and checked the time. 7:53 "Crap! I only have seven minutes to pack! Wait, where's Kacchan?" Looking around the empty room, he noticed a new message from Katuski sent only ten minutes earlier. Still stumbling a bit as he tried to rouse his limbs to function properly, he decided to answer his door first.
The bubbly brunette in front of him was holding a small duffel bag as she happily waved. "Morning Deku! Ready to head to the bus?"
"Ah ha just one minute, I need to brush my teeth and get dressed." Stepping aside, Izuku let his best friend enter and make herself comfortable before quickly thinking of all the things he needed to pack in the next six minutes. Stepping into his bathroom he quickly checked his waiting message while reaching for his toothbrush. A wide and heartfelt smile split his freckled face as he stared at his phone. Typing out a quick reply to his missing blonde's brief but more than welcome message he nearly tripped over his own feet as he rushed around the small space hoping not to make his chocolate eyed best friend wait too long.

It was a 4 hour drive to get to the designated resort but the bus ride over was generally enjoyable for the students of class 2A. Present Mic and Mr. Aizawa were both coming along to chaperone of course but neither seemed overly interested in policing the teens behavior on the bus. Eraserhead sleeping through the majority of the drive was almost expected. However, it was surprising to see the usually boisterous blonde teacher with his hair down and slumped against his companion's sleeping bag cocoon. Ida had tried to start a round of spirited travel songs but gave up after the third time someone changed the lyrics to be somewhat inappropriate.
An hour into the drive, the majority of the class voted to watch an anime movie. Among those who weren't watching: some were playing cards with the person next to them, some napped, and others just talked or watched the scenery go by. The packed breakfasts they were given as they entered the bus were long since eaten and there was an epic game of roshambo to determine who would collect the trash later. Aiyama won. Or is that lost?
Eventually they arrived and as everyone exited the bus they stretched their tired limbs and took in the beautiful old school style buildings they would be staying in. Standing around in small clusters the chatter of excitement froze as one rather grumpy looking raven haired homeroom teacher addressed his problem children. "You will all be in building three so listen up for your assignments. Ida and Kirishima. Ojiro and Midoriya. Shoji and Sero. Aoyama and Kaminari. Bakugo and Tokoyami. Mineta and Todoroki. Sato and Koda. Jiro and Yaoyorozu. Uraraka and Asui. Hagakure and Ashido. If you plan to change rooms with someone be sure to tell Present Mic so we can update the list. Everyone needs to be back in their rooms by eleven. Lights out is at twelve. There is a central lounge across from the shower rooms where you can all do whatever you want until then. Present Mic has the room keys so if you are planning to trade roommates do that first before getting your keys so we can record who is in each lodging. Once you have your key you can drop off your bags or stay in your rooms. I don't care. The showers are open and the onsen can be used until eight tonight. Lunch is in one hour. You are all dismissed."
Immediately several students began switching rooms and heading off to check out their accommodations for the next few days and nights. Kaminari switched rooms with Ida so he could stay with Kirishima. Ojiro switched rooms with Sero to stay with Shoji. Tokoyami switched rooms with Midoriya to avoid Bakugo. And Jiro switched with Hagakure so she could stay with Ashido. In the end most pairs were different from the ones that were assigned. As a result of all the switches some Heros in training were left unsure who they were staying with when everyone finished trading.
Seeing a few students standing around unsure of their new companion for the long weekend, the loud blonde teacher cleared up the last few student pairs so they could join the others in exploring the resort. "Aoyama that puts you with Ida in room six and Bakugo you are now with Midoriya in room ten. Get to it cool cats!"
Walking down the hall past other rooms filled with excited classmates, Izuku couldn't help but smile. He had wanted to stay with Katsuki but agreed in the end that it would be suspicious if they requested it. But he needn't have worried. In the end they were assigned to the same room by the sheer chance of the others switching around them. That's something like fate, right? Now all they had to do was remember that they were not at UA and the rooms would not have anywhere near the same level of sound proofing so they needed to behave themselves. At least they would need to try.
An hour later found all members of UA's 'Start Class' plus two teachers enjoying an over-the-top lunch in the private restaurant attached to the modern Roykan. There were so many wonderfully made dishes that some became concerned they might need to roll a few classmates back to their rooms versus them walking. Uraraka seemed particularly enthusiastic with a few different dishes and while Denki wanted a taste of the sekihan he was not prepared to lose a hand in the process. Judging by the look on the plump faced girl he would need to be willing to sacrifice at LEAST that much to get the bowl away from her. Bakugo appeared to be having a telepathic conversation with the mapo tofu and at one point seemed to consult in the notes of his phone labeled 'female half n halfs' recipe'. Overall everyone seemed to be in high spirits as they ate and made plans for the afternoon.
The girls were all excited to visit the natural spring onsen on their side of the resort and planned to spend most of the rest of the day having 'girl time'. Several boys were going to explore the grounds and see what mischief they could round up while the rest planned to just hang out in the lounge or their rooms. The group agreed that since everyone was there to address their issues as a class that they would have a movie night after dinner. A few heated words on the merits of hero movies versus anime ensued and those with opinions to be voiced agreed to a compromise in the form of a mini marathon of animated hero movies. After Ida checked with the resort owner that it would be alright, they also agreed that everyone would bring their blankets and pillows to the lounge and sleep there. The group also agreed that if anyone chose to return to their room during the night they could with no judgment or questions. Everyone needs privacy sometimes.
At eight that evening, twenty future Pros were busy selecting their preferred spot to watch the large screen the resort owners graciously brought into the lounge. Some opted to just lay on the floor while others chose one of the four couches placed around the room. Kirishima, Kaminari, Mina, and Jiro sat on one of the larger couches with Sero and Bakugo settled on the floor in front of it and off to the left. On the couch closest to them were Ida, Uraraka and Tsu, with Midoriya by their feet on the far right.
Another couch held the classes two official couples with Yaoyorozu happily perched on Todoroki's lap and Hagakure cuddled up to Ojiro. The last couch held Sato, Ayama, and Kota with Mineta and Shoji in front. Everyone else was situated randomly on the floor already laying down comfortably.
Once the first movie started the class quickly decided that the first movie was maybe the most accidentally funny film they had ever seen. The animation was beautiful, but the characters were over the top and the dialog was ridiculous. Laughter filled the room and side conversations were whispered everywhere. There was no sign of the uncomfortable tension from the last few weeks anywhere to be found.
Half way through the second of the four movies they planned for the evening several students were already drifting off including Bakugo. It was, after all, past his bedtime. Most of those seated on the couches had either laid down on someone else's lap or descended to the floor by the beginning of the third movie and when it ended only six classmates remained awake. Uraraka, Midoriya, Kaminari, Jiro, Todoroki, and Tokoyami were the only ones to see the ridiculous credit scene. Dark Shadow started the last of the movies but by twenty minutes in she was the only one still watching.
