Running down the stairs Katsuki found himself eager to tell the others in the house of the morning's development. For the first time since Quake and Sagasu helped him hunt down their first false lead he had hope that he might really be able to get his Bunny back. Body AND mind. One look at his smiling, yes SMILING face, had Midnight up and out of her chair smothering him in her cleavage. "I'm glad Midoriya has someone who knows him so well! Even if he is having trouble seeing it for what it is right now, I am grateful to you on his behalf."

Beet red and slightly flustered, the blonde froze in his teacher's suggestive death grip with a mumbled "Let off would ya lady?"

"Young Midoriya took your letter? Are you sure son?" Turning to All Might the slightly flustered younger blonde held out the small green stone he found in place of his letter just moments ago.

"He left this behind. No way did the wind or some random jackass do this. It was the Nerd for sure. Now I just need to leave him another one tonight and see if he comes back." There was no concealing the excitement in his voice. All preamble of the terse bad boy persona he typically wore to shield himself from the world was gone in light of his enthusiasm.

Everyone gathered around the small dining table knew the feisty blonde was a good kid. He was smart and worked hard on his studies. Regardless of his chosen method at times, he had a very strong moral compass. Katsuki was kind, but not gentle. He would curse you out while tutoring you, tell you how stupid you are while carrying you on his back if you couldn't walk, call you names as he made your favorite meal if you were down. Words meant little to the feisty boy. Dynamight was a man of action, and his actions spoke volumes.

Izuku was both kind and gentle but he understood his childhood friend's nature perhaps best of all. In middle school he was the youth's biggest target but the greenette never held a grudge when the boys were at odds or after. When the two patched things up following the older boy's kidnapping, Deku knew Bakugo was telling the truth when he said he bullied the freckled teen out of concern. The night after the boys confessed to being a couple several months ago their trio of parents talked about the extent of Dynamights past behavior.

Neither of the blonde's parents knew the full scale of the bullying in middle school. They of course knew the boys were not spending time together outside of school anymore after grade school, but they were unaware of how bad it had become. They were in the dark about their son threatening the younger boy with his quirk or the harsh things he told the greenette. They had their suspicions when Inko would politely decline dinner invitations and sometimes tear up when they inquired about Izuku's well-being but nothing solid. The kind-hearted mother didn't have it in her to tell her own best friend of Katsuki's behavior.

Knowing the boy's personality well, the consensus was that he had acted out of sexual confusion. Lashing out at the person he desired in an unknowing effort to smother feelings he didn't understand. Or perhaps Izuku was correct and Katsuki was acting out of a misguided attempt to protect his freckled friend. Either way it did not absolve the teen of his sins, but it did help make sense of them.

Kacchan was just THAT bad with emotions and communicating with others. Luckily for him, Deku had the empathy that energy needed to match it. Not that the smaller male would allow himself to be pushed around. Not anymore at least. Boundaries were necessary and growth was expected of them both. Izuku had grown more confident and Katsuki more understanding. A well fit match.

There were about two weeks left before the end of February and all present were hoping they would have captured the runaway future symbol of peace by then. The boy surely wouldn't be ready to just jump right back into classes but if they could get him into therapy perhaps he wouldn't fall too far behind. Everyone wanted him to be able to take his end of term exams in six weeks time and advance to year three with the rest of his class.

That day Mr. and Mrs. Bakugo went to work as usual while Katsuki stayed home. He was on bed rest from his injuries anyway. All Might and Midnight spent most of the day on the phone coordinating with the other teachers, police, and various Hero Agencies. They made plans for how to integrate the freckled teen back into the Hero program with appropriate therapies and training when the time comes. They updated the police chief about the situation and looked into any cases that might have been resolved by the wayward youth and whether or not excessive force was indeed used in any of them. They checked in with all the agencies that were looking for Deku and rerouted efforts to find Igishi and insure he couldn't renew his efforts to take down UA.

Back at Might Tower Flurry had turned her brother over to authorities and was granted access to visit him as often as she wanted. As it turned out Kori and his partner, whose real name turned out to be Minato, had only been involved in petty crimes and were not expected to serve any real time but would rather be working with community outreach groups to prevent others from following their footsteps.

Darkside, who had surprisingly used her real name when gaining employment with the Heros, was a different story. She had been linked to several different high profile situations and Specter would be surprised if she were ever to see the outside of a quirk-blocking jail cell ever again. Working with Principle Nezu, they had narrowed down the identity of Igishi to a man who had been rejected by UA for a teaching position after repeated violations of the Hero code during his short and otherwise uneventful Pro career. They just needed to track him down, but there seemed to be a strong possibility that he had fled Japan following the capture of his lover.

Good thing they had ties to a rather high ranking international Hero and his agency. Pro Hero Dragon Fire was more than happy to help search for the man responsible for his son's disappearance.

That evening Dynamight wrote another note to leave for his hopefully future boyfriend. In the morning the note was gone and this time along with a new green stone there was a return message from the missing greenette.

Kacchan,

I miss you. More than I can put into words but I can't be selfish. You always work so hard and do your best that you deserve the best possible partner in return, if you want one. I know Kirishima is planning to be partners with Tetsutetsu but if you asked I know they would work with you too. Then again you're so strong and such a great Hero on your own you could go solo and be number one for sure. I was watching you this afternoon when you were in the back garden. Remember to shift your stance a little when you go to kick high so you don't lose your center of balance as easily. Are you excited for third year? I'm so sorry you and everyone else missed out on the break because of me. I know I didn't make you all search for me but you can't deny that it's my fault and I feel horrible about that. I know summer training last year was kind of derailed because of the LOV and you know. Everything. This year was a lot better, wasn't it? I was hoping you'd have just as good a time on this mini break but you spent the whole time working and searching or me. I'm so sorry for that. I wish you all would just forget about me. Then you could move on and be the strong amazing Heros I know you can be. I'm sure soon All Might will pass on One for All to Mirio or maybe even you Kacchan, then he can forget about a failure like me and never think of it again. I would really like that, I promise! I just want what is best for everyone. Speaking of everyone, how are they? You don't have to tell me of course but I can't help my curiosity. Is Ura okay? How are Kaminari and Jiro and Shinso doing? What about Todoroki and Momo or Ojiro and Hagakure? Are Iida and Hatsume still doing well? Did you and Kirishima plan for a first date yet? On second thought, I'm sure you don't want your ex asking about your new relationship. Sorry about that, none of my business. Anyway, I'll leave you alone now. I hope you've been sleeping better these days, Kacchan. Please tell the teachers and everybody at the agency I'm sorry for letting them all down. Maybe one day everyone will be able to forgive me and smile when they remember me, or never think of me at all.
