After getting back to the agency and reporting to Best Jeanist, Dynamight continued to ignore his orange haired pursuer all the way to his room while he packed. Then, in a show of impressive fortitude, the usually reactive blonde continued to pay the man no attention all the way to the train station.
As they waited for the unmistakable sound of an approaching car they stood on the platform side by side. The taunting and begging had stopped now but Katsuki senior was still smiling. The ash quirk user had been silent for only a few minutes and his charge was just beginning to enjoy the companionable peace when he was caught completely off guard by a rather astute observation he was not entirely ready to hear.
"It's that green haired kid, isn't it? Your ex." The somewhat startled expression on the otherwise angry looking teen was something of an unintended giveaway.
"How the fuck do you know about that?"
"It's obvious the way you two were with each other the day we met you all at UA and the way you talked about him when Sis asked." A look of frustration and irritation overtook the blonde's previously shook expression. "Look, Bakugo, I'm sure you two are still on good terms or you'd be happy to talk shit about him. Plus Emiko said you told her the two of you might be partners when you go Pro so I'm sure you're both working hard to get past your relationship. Just think about it? What better way to get over an ex than to have a rebound?"
Pulling the now stunned intern to a distant corner of the platform devoid of other prospective passengers, the slightly older male metaphorically pinned the other to the wall. Leaning closer, he spoke softly. His lips nearly grazing the other's as the ruby-eyed boy stood near frozen. "I'm not a long term serious relationship kind of guy. I'm more a short burst of fun and leave with a smile man. Think about it, Cutie. The offer stands as long as you need time to think it over. If me being your coordinator bothers you I can formally request for Sis to take over so I'm not directly involved in the rest of your internship. Just know: I want you and I'll take measures to make it happen. If you're game for it."
With one last look at the lips that were slightly slack at his words, Daiuske took a step back before winking to his companion and turning to leave. The perplexed and slightly conflicted blonde shook his head to clear his thoughts and walked back to the platform edge just as the train pulled in. Once the somewhat dumbfounded youth took his seat he became lost in thought.
Who the fuck can I talk to about this shit? Pinky is out - she can't keep a damn thing secret. Pikachu and Soy Sauce are out - dumbasses. Can't talk to Shitty Hair - that would just be fucking wrong. Not the Old Hag - she'd never let it the fuck go. I already tell that damn Mutt too much - so not there. I can't talk to the Nerd about this shit - that would be so fucking awkward. Wouldn't it? The usually long train ride back to UA went by surprisingly fast as class 3A's Blasty stared at the empty seat across the isle while his mind searched. Before he could answer his own question it was time to depart the speeding public transport and head back to the dorms. At least he didn't have to deal with the mind fuck that was Ash and Izuku until tomorrow after his class at the earliest, right?
Wrong.
"Kacchan?" The not unwelcome but very unexpected voice of the exact greenette he both craved to see and desperately wanted to avoid right now greeted the confused teen as he entered the common room in Heights Alliance.
"Deku? What the fuck are you doing back so early? Why the hell are you the only one here?" Dropping his small bag on the ground by the couch, the new arrival walked closer to the freckled teen who was clutching a mug of hot cocoa.
"You would know if you checked the class chat from time to time. I'm the only person here tonight. Most everybody else is coming back tomorrow after lunch." Leaning back into the soft cushions of the same couch the blonde was now leaning on, the emerald-eyed boy sipped his warm drink as he waited for his companions' reaction.
